FYI, someone who doesn't know me very well brought me cut flowers today & I was good enough to just say thank you.

I'm gonna tell y'all though that I don't like cut flowers & prefer potted ones or tree saplings! I want to transplant those gifts & nurture them. I'm not a fan of things that commercials tell you that women like. I'm a fucking weird ass person & I'm not into a lot of material BS most women like. I love rare seeds gifts the most! I go total bananas over those🤣 seriously 😀

Many of us war survivors have been suffering increased flashbacks, more nightmares, PTSD sweats/panic attacks & been more frazzled than in past few years because of massive violent war violence all over; seeing maimed dead kids daily, seeing & hearing about deaths/famine/sickness in refugee camps, seeing global leaders lie & be cruel & racist..it's harmed our wellbeing.

It's triggered many of my worst war violence/refugee camp memories to resurface. I'm freaking out because it's horrifying.

msquebanh,

No innocent civilians volunteer for a lifetime of violent war PTSD triggers. Our war survivor PTSD is same medical condition but it's different in that we never volunteered to get PTSD. Military people signed up to get PTSD.

Innocent civilians do not & never have.

We receive no govt funding help for civilians' PTSD inflicted upon us, by countries who fund PTSD help for military people. We deserve funding help for our involuntary PTSD that has affected our entire lives too. We NEVER CHOSE THIS.

msquebanh,

Referring war survivors like me to volunteer crisis line, recommending we do regular therapy doesn't help ppl like us. Ppl like us have seen body parts blown apart from young ages, been terrorized before we could speak, suffered intergenerational traumas(being conceived in bomb shelter), had many family members murdered & maimed, displaced in foreign refugee camps w/only numbered IDs & facing mass racism when resettled in far from home lands where ppl hated us for looking like we did - Asian.

msquebanh,

I understand many of you are also quite personally traumatized from witnessing live action ethnic cleansing in real time - in very safe places.

I hope you'll refrain from trying to compare your very safely distanced, vicarious experiences from those actively living it & those who've lived though it before. I suggest you try to imagine your vicarious experience compounded by 100x minimum, to even obtain a mintuae of the cruel & brutal experiences felt by those who actually lived through it.

msquebanh,

I was going to delete some of my recent freskouts but opted against it because it's important to see what PTSD meltdowns look like in public & why they happen.

I'm not ashamed. Why would I be ashamed for being a human, afflicted by involuntary war violence PTSD when I wasn't even born when it started? Why would I be ashamed of being open about something that affects thousands of war survivors, globally?

The people who should feel ashamed are warmongers & govts who don't help war survivors.

msquebanh,

Adding that many neoliberal governments are creating more unnecessary future war survivors & with that, creating more PTSD patients. None of those govts have planned(or have ever planned) on helping future PTSD victims. They're truly creating more conditions for people to lose their shit in public in more dangerous ways.

It's PREVENTABLE. FUND PTSD HELP FOR ALL PTSD VICTIMS - ESPECIALLY VICTIMS OF MASS WAR VIOLENCE & MASS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & MASS GUN VIOLENCE!

This ain't rocket science.

msquebanh,

@hannu_ikonen I'm curious as how you feel about this - both from medical professional standpoint & also as a human standpoint.

msquebanh,

@Mary625 @hannu_ikonen That's the blocker except we now have them admitting Agent Orange caused serious harms, lifelong disabilities, genetic defects - except US govt said Agent Orange only affected US military who came in close contact - UMM - citizens receiving bombs received much more direct contact. US govt denied Agent Orange damages on their own military for yrs & only gave pittance settlement to small handful of US military victims (1)

msquebanh,

@Mary625 @hannu_ikonen The US govt in losing massive class action legal suit by US veterans & families - maimed, disabled, killed by Agent Orange got a half assed victory in courts. However, that court ruling was oppressed by USA when Vietnam tried to do first of several filings of war crimes by USA. I'm too freaking upset to go further ATM but USA GOVT FUCKING OWES VIETNAM AGENT ORANGE REPARATIONS!!!!

msquebanh,

@jeremy_pm @Mary625 @hannu_ikonen My big Auntie was a critical care ICU nurse before USA killed half our family & snipers her best friend. My Auntie joined resistance army because she felt there was no other choice except to fight back because USA govt had zero mercy & killed kids, in the head, on public streets. That happened for years, with rapes by US military invaders on Asian women. There's many vids of US soldiers talking about us like IDF talk about Palestinians now.

msquebanh,

@Mary625 @jeremy_pm @hannu_ikonen Many Americans don't suck - like you folks, for example. However, your government fucking sucks & I'm not ever gonna be nice or kind, when it comes to governments. I really wish more folks drew govt & citizens lines though. We ain't the fucking same entities.

msquebanh,

@jeremy_pm @Mary625 @hannu_ikonen Thank you very much for educating your daughter. As a survivor of that unnecessary war, by USA, I'm grateful you're educating your child ❤️ That is a living gift, to all war survivors.

msquebanh,

@maddad @jeremy_pm @Mary625 @hannu_ikonen I blocked 3 former US vets a few months back because they tried to compare their PTSD to us civilians who were raped, brutalized, dehumanized, massacred & put in public squares for US military pride displays. One display had one of my Uncle's head speared on a rifle atop destroyed tower of honour for him because he helped fight off French colonial forces. I don't tolerate fucking assholes & block them. I don't think they deserve my energy whatsoever.

msquebanh,

@jeremy_pm @maddad @Mary625 @hannu_ikonen 4 of my Uncles were held there without charges & only 1 was ever involved in 'helping' resistance. He gave them bread 2 days. He was sentenced to 60 yrs for that. Giving fucking bread to starving people. Viet Cong were part of our peoples & only resistance fighting against American invasion.

msquebanh,

@jeremy_pm @maddad @Mary625 @hannu_ikonen Your friend either bought into USA lies & never knew any actual VietCong fighters. I'm open to public debate, with him. I'm a war survivor with family split apart by US war on Vietnam. My big Auntie ran away to join resistance army. 2 Uncles served under USA controls for what was a pseudo US govt. We wanted INDEPENDENCE!

Who did your friend fight for? My big Auntie fought for freedom of ALL citizens in Vietnam - whether Vietnamese, Chinese or not.

msquebanh,

@wndlb @jeremy_pm @maddad @Mary625 @hannu_ikonen They don't even want to learn - which us awful.

msquebanh,

@jeremy_pm @maddad @Mary625 @hannu_ikonen He should learn to shut the fuck up on life experiences he's never actually lived then. He was lucky. So was I but in different ways. I use my Western privileges to fight against Global North abuses & it sounds like he's been indoctrinated into parroting Western colonial lies. He can learn to defend himself against POC women like me & he should do that more. I don't trust colonial parrots of any stripe, considering my family history & colonial lies.

msquebanh,

@jeremy_pm @maddad @Mary625 @hannu_ikonen FYI - half of my family was tribal in Vietnam & almost entire village was bombed out of existence. Your friend NEVER lived in any war.

msquebanh,

@jeremy_pm @maddad @Mary625 @hannu_ikonen I appreciate that you're trying to understand. I'm still angry because decades later, I'm still trying to obtain reparations for my family & thousands of other families that USA govt is responsible for harming. I just want some fucking OVERDUE JUSTICE FOR OUR PEOPLES!

How does feel about ? Apparently, they feel so much support for them that at least one of their national news channels puts out the message: From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free - at end of their shows - in English.

  • msquebanh,

@thepoliticalcat In the early 80s, my parents were threatened by school district & some shitty selfish parents, because I organized the first sit in lunch protest to demand free lunch for kids with no lunches. It started because I noticed many kids in our low income inner city school had no food to eat at lunch because they were poorer than us & we were quite poor but always had some lunch. I asked students to join me & refuse to eat until free lunches were given to all kids in school.

    msquebanh,

@thepoliticalcat I was very proud of how my parents supported me - despite being threatened by selfish people, who had no issues using derogatory racist language to speak to my parents. My Dad told them if they fed hungry kids, his daughter, who cares about other kids, wouldn't have to cause a scene in the first place. Mom jumped in with Teochew, Dad had to translate to bewildered white ppl - We raised our daughter to stand up for what's right. We support her in asking that hungry kids be fed.

    msquebanh,

@thepoliticalcat This lived experience is a huge reason that I'm peeved by adults who are quick to say - that kid was programmed by their parents.
Acting like kids don't have their own strong minds; like kids don't know right from wrong. My parents never told me to organize any protests. I always initiated them myself, out of feeling need to DO SOMETHING to CHANGE what I saw were injustices. I acted on my ethics.

My parents taught me that every person has power to do something. They're spot on.
