Consumerism at it’s finest. We get so worked up for things that should never get much emotions out of us. Watches, cars, console wars, fashion brands, mobile OS 🤮🤮🤮 We should make the effort not to care so much about brands, and just buy less. No one needs a watch

My comment was mostly about brand loyalty and the madness that ensues. As for the usefulness of watches, i realized they were redundant when i broke mine over 10 years ago and never bought another one again. We can all tell time from a phone, a computer, a train, car, microwave etc… Spend a week without one and see. Fine if you prefer to have one, but it isn’t a necessity or even a tool anymore, more of a fashion accessory.

Action should be taken on all fronts, and I would argue that big companies should be made to take action before squeezing households into it. The opposite is happening unfortunately. I feel guilt every time I do the dishes, while the clothing industry is overusing and polluting everyone’s water. That won’t stop me from making the effort, but we need to burn down some parliaments if we are ever to see big corps react.

That's wonderful. Another self destructive strategy. I also deleted my account and posts on Twitter a couple of weeks ago. The Reddit debacle left me wondering, what the hell am i still doing on Twitter anyways? And now i am free of both accounts 😎

Cheap and definitely delicious, maybe not so healthy as it's a carbs explosion. I have pasta once a week and pizza at most once a week. There are some interesting variations like chickpeas pasta, sourdough pizza etc... but then you get more healthy and less tasty in my opinion. You might love it 🤷‍♂️

True, plenty of the useful posts, advice, opinions will be lost. Unfortunately i don't think Reddit will suffer much for it, eventually spez will get his IPO, and possibly have moderators replaced by paid staff and/or bots. Life will go on there almost certainly for the worse. Social media and the monetization of people win again.
