I love how in the intro to AD&D1e, Gygax says that the game has no "spell point system whose record keeping would warm the heart of a monomaniacal statistics lover." Like, I can imagine a spell point system more complicated than spell slots, but it'd take some effort.

Also the 1e PHB has psionics rules where you spend psionic strength points to use psychic powers, and the way he wrote out how to calculate how many you get is giving me a headache.

Ed Zitron did an article floating the idea of replacing CEOs with AI. I dunno how much satirical intent there is, but it does feel like that makes more sense than replacing e.g. creative writers and artists with AI.
