If the Chicago Bears don't come out and go undefeated this season, there are going to be a lot of stupid looking sports commentators. The way they talk, you'd think Caleb Williams had already won the Super Bowl.
This is my lappy. So I am checking in with a different challenge. I want to see if I can keep this hardware going 10 years with the same install. I think I can always transition it to a server. @JLW_the_Jobber
After this motherboard, ddr5 and case upgrade; :popos: has not been as smooth. Kinda buggy, but can't reproduce reliably or find a log that fits. When I shutdown the system it never fully powers off. After this most recent kernel update, I can't boot into my system with an amdgpu panic.
It also sucks that on my Gentoo install that networkmanager now freezes my system on boot. So I guess chroot and choose iwd now.
@dhry I rescued an orange one. He was from a crazy cat breeder/hoarder that wanted to make miniature versions. So Toulouse was a little bit of an odd ball. One orange brain cell for sure and short legs.
So I can't get anything Wayland working on my laptop ATM. I think it is a slight skill issue. Meaning, I overlooked something during the initial set up. I wasn't on the desktop profile... Probably not the issue, but could be. It looks like there are 5 new packages getting installed with a full rebuild.
Almost at 400 days on my :popos: install. If I knew what I was doing, it would be past two years now. I switched GPUs. And had I not tried out a "spicy" build of Gentoo, that install would reach 2 years this August. Feels good trying out new to me things and sticking to them.
