Got this in today. US PSU. Was talking with some friends how hard it is to find these nowadays. So when I saw it on for only 5eur, had to get it. Big brick weighing nothing, so had to see what is inside... see for yourself. 110V only as well....

Spot the differences! The white one had some keys that were not working, so I swapped it with the other one. This way the new owner to be can actually use it. The other will just have more to be fixed.

It's time to let this baby go. Box, cart and manuals still looking good too. Not feeling too bad about it, still have another one in a bit worse condition. Let's give it a clean and put it on the marketplace. And no, it's not clicky. :famicom:

Finished recapping the PAC for the . Also tested it and it still works. Phew. All that's left now is the PAC (and the the NEC Laseractive) and I can move on to the next consoles.

After replacing the ICPs and taking lots of time removing the front and drive so I could also replace the remaining 3 caps on them I got about halfway re-assembling the . Time to call it a day and also remembered I wanted to RGB mod it and don't have the parts yet.

Made a proper cap map of the (I didn't write down the polarity on the hand drawn ones). Inspired by the @zaxour's laseractive cap maps which helped me out a lot.

Stuck on testing the 'es, so I thought I'd do the display ribbons of the other two I have. This one had the controller stuck in it. It was jammed so far in, beyond what should be possible, it broke the supports of the controller port board and could no longer connect. Connected the controller/psu to it directly and tested it. It works, no ribbon reflow needed (yet). And then I remembered I was supposed to set up a server tonight...

The ultimate mod. When you don't have the right psu or tip. Need to check if this SNS-CPU-APU-01 is still working or not. Someone is interested innit. Bought 25 years ago in my favourite console shop in Hong Kong.

Friend was wondering if the and are board compatible inside and the answer is yes. He probably wants to put a super famicom 1chip board inside a snes shell. Why he would want that is a while nother question. It does get rid of the weird DC jack.

Started taking apart the ... what have I begun?! It's like I entered the batcave uninvited and all these bats are just hanging there, ready to start flying at me and bite me.

Last week I tested my because a friend wanted to test his PAC. He dropped by today. After I turned on the LA it started to smell like an old , nothing else. Power led blinks red once and then nothing. nothing on the screen either. Now I don't have an excuse to wait with the recap anymore. Except time of course...

Ready for a night of retrogaming! Shops closed for the next 2 weeks so I am making good use of the location, invited some fellow gamers and collectors for a night of free beer and games.

Found one more grandpa retro game shop in Wan Chai in some half abandoned shopping center and offered to buy all his games. Also got a broken light, pocket and dmg. Couldn't leave that game either :)
