Was playing The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles on NES for first time and noticed it felt kinda familiar. Then realised what it reminded me of and did some sprite comparisons.

Nintendo szykuje gratkę dla fanów klasyki z ery 8-bitowego NES-a. "Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition", które ukaże się 18 lipca na Switchu, to nic innego jak zestaw ponad 150 wyzwań z 13 klasycznych nintendowych tytułów takich jak "Super Mario Bros.", "Metroid", "Excitebike" czy "Baloon Fight".
Gra dostępna będzie w wersji cyfrowej, jednak chętni będą mogli kupić też wersję pudełkową w edycji deluxe z dodatkami. I czy tylko mi się wydaje, że Japończycy dostaną lepsze dodatki?

Forgot to post this yesterday. Currently working through the Pikuma NES dev course, progress is coming along well. I know enough to create individual backgrounds now, which is neat 👍
It's Star Wars Day once again, so with that in mind, here's a bit of minor Star Wars gaming history for the three people who might be still interested, haha - an interview I did with Jack Yarwood for Time Extension last year, about developing NES Star Wars for Lucasfilm/JVC back in the day.
I'm playing with updating my old NES Dr.Mario clone after finally getting to play it with someone else showed that there's a lot of stuff that really needed fixed, or that could be better.
It felt cool to get to play a Dr.Mario that was fast though.
And now Squirrel Domino has 8 backgrounds you can pick from and suddenly the game feels way more polished. I also made the backgrounds display during multiplayer battles too.
