    After a little bit of difficulty with ports and stuff, I managed to get Owncast set up this evening on Docker on the Plesk web server.

    Here's my prediction.

    With ActivityPub, Mastodon will soon find a challenger that starts getting more attention.

    Maybe is will be the *key apps. Maybe it will be Barcelona. Maybe it will be WordPress.

    But when this starts happening, this will shake up the community-at-large -- and completely change the direction of the protocol.

    @atomicpoet It'd be nice to see healthy competition within the ActivityPub Fediverse. *key apps are getting better and better every day.

    But I hope for more than just 'microblogging' services.
    Perhaps more than Pixelfed, PeerTube... hell WordPress even.
