Knowledge Rights 21 to work with Authors Alliance to raise the voice of authors who care about the public interest – Knowledge Rights 21

I’m so tired of zealots. Not everything has to be open to produce open end results.

I don’t care you write open source code in a proprietary environment. I do care about people backseat driving saying people ought to do things the way they think.

@slink @chartgerink If I may add, I would say those who use because it's FLOSS would more likely use free (as in free speech, not as in free beer) licenses for their content.
GPL was published in 89/90? and a decade after we got the equivalent for content. I remember discussions about opening up the documentation and how software licenses were not good enough for content. Creative Commons were founded in 2000s? and also heavily influence by free software principles and ideas.
Of course, there are problems. Usually countries copyright law make proprietary the default. If I want to open up my content I have to learn about licenses and choose one (extra work and time). And then, there are cases where people forget — I changed the design of my blog recently and had to recreate all the sections, this conversation made me realise I forgot the one with the license, so I'm going to correct that now (thanks! :-))

https://gutenberg.net.au/plusfifty-n-z.html#woolf

And the short story Mrs. Dalloway in Bond Street at @gutenberg_org

https://gutenberg.org/ebooks/63107.html

Woolf's works are in in countries where copyright is life+70.

In other countries with other rules it's possible that some works by Woolf are in Public Domain and others aren't.
