#fedipact has anybody spun up an instance that exclusively federates with #threads and nothing else? Most mastodon apps have excellent multi account support, and this would let folks interact with threads using their app of choice. As a #blind person, the threads app seemed to have #accessibility issues last I checked, so using the official app isnโt possible for many folks. But if threads becomes as large as Twitter, and gets used by governments for emergency alerts, staying on an instance that signed the pact will quickly become impossible for us. But if we complained, I could see a world where meta refuses to invest in making their app #accessible, and just tells disabled users to move to an instance that federates with them. It could even go on a pr blitz and accuse admins who sign the pact of not caring about accessibility. This would neatly shift all accessibility responsibility to unpaid open source developers.
Does anyone happen to have a copy of an update file for the original Victor Reader Stream? I think it's well beyond time I crack mine open and have some fun. Maybe by abusing autorun tricks with the SD card if it's CE like I suspect.
Interesting to see how there are humans who are so obsessed with a "president" :blobderpy:
Presidents are just humans who want to lead other humans more often then other humans do :blobcatscience:
There is nothing "super human" about it, instead one could argue many often lie and cheat their way to the leadership position.. Not so sure that makes them more human :blobfoxsignno:
For me, it's about what someone does, not what position they have ๐คท
make a #matrix client for desktop that is accessible.
element web is broken, fluffy chat is broken, every client is broken.
blind users want to use matrix too.
@stux anyway, I have a fun idea, but I know you wouldn't accept it, although that's one of my dreams and you might be able to make it a reality with me.
