“Remarkably, food production doubled under the agrivoltaic system. And because water evaporation from the plants cooled the panels, the solar system itself generated 3% more electricity during the summer, showing how both food and solar production can perform better when done in collaboration”.

Apparently, Calmac are rationing bookable bike spaces to the Isle of Barra. Of course, what they don’t tell you is that you can turn up and travel with your bicycle. There are only 12 bookable spaces, but 18 came off the boat tonight.
It’s not entirely clear why they’re trying to limit the number of bicycles on the boat. 🤔

This will have serious implications for those planning to complete the as limiting the numbers at the start limits the numbers all the way through to Lewis

What an unbelievably blinkered view of public opinion regarding the state of Israel. It seems they think that by banning TikTok they could make the Israel back into the good guys.
That ship has sailed.
As the International press and multinational aid organisations finally get access to Gaza Israel will have to prepare itself for a lot of very very negative press coverage and the Israeli government will have a lot of questions to answer.
That is not because of TikTok!

“The Iranians did not use any weapons Israel didn’t know it had, it just used a lot of them
But the Iranians likely now have almost a full map of what Israel’s missile defence system looks like, as well as where in Jordan and the Gulf the US has installations. Iran will be able to “reverse engineer” the intelligence … while Israel and the U.S. “will have to re-design away from their current model,” making the the cost of the “success” in stopping the attack very high.” https://mondoweiss.net/2024/04/why-irans-retaliatory-attack-against-israel-was-not-a-failure/

“Israel’s genocidal war has taken on a new dimension — it is encouraging societal collapse in Gaza. Its engineering of famine and the enablement of lawlessness is simply a continuation of its military campaign through other means. And when members of the civilian government attempt to ameliorate the famine or try to work to restore social order, Israel launches a war against them, too.”
