It would seem that Glasgow has some way to go before placing pedestrians at the top of the hierarchy of road users.
Basically what this sign says is cyclists should ping their bells or shout and pedestrians should get out their way “politely”.

It even says make yourself visible!
Are pedestrians expected to wear dayglo yellow?

Don’t forget, the government is subsidising fossil fuels, not renewables. That’s why we’re paying more for electricity than gas or oil.

“The first thing I would say is that we’ve now lived in the deregulated system for 40 years. What we ended up with was a system that failed to achieve the things that the deregulators said it would. We now have a system that is less competitive than it was even during regulation. The top four airlines collectively have a larger market share now than the top four airlines did in 1977. This system of markets and competition has led to massive consolidation and concentration”https://hls.harvard.edu/today/airline-deregulation-may-be-why-flying-is-such-a-miserable-part-of-holiday-travel/

Electric bike which doesn’t need charged. (Seriously!)

Next we need brake levers which combine the front and back brakes, removing the difficulty (and danger) of using continental bicycles in the UK.

“an analysis by climate change think tank E3G, backed by Greenpeace, found this 20% blend would likely raise gas bills by 16%, or £100 to £200 a year, because hydrogen is much more expensive than natural gas. Even if a 20% blend were approved, the analysis said, it would only reduce emissions by 7% due to the fact that hydrogen is less energy dense than methane”

“Remarkably, food production doubled under the agrivoltaic system. And because water evaporation from the plants cooled the panels, the solar system itself generated 3% more electricity during the summer, showing how both food and solar production can perform better when done in collaboration”.

I am increasingly forced to the conclusion that the only person that seems to be benefiting from the appalling massacres in Gaza is Netanyahu.

He is supposed to have the best security services in the world, but didn’t realise there was going to be an attack.

He is supposed to have the best defences in the world, but it was insufficient to stop footsoldiers getting through the fence.

It looks as if he has double agents in Hamas who have precipitated the attack to enable him to invade Gaza.

https://chrishedges.substack.com/p/a-talk-on-the-genocide-in-gaza I had never heard of this guy until about a couple of weeks ago, but he is absolutely brilliant.
A must-watch, from somebody who really knows what he’s talking about.

Radio 4 at it again this evening, shilling for the far right.
A completely uncritical programme featuring a leader nobody has heard of, of a party nobody has heard of.

This is exactly the same playbook as for Nigel Farage. Make him look a reasonable pleasant chap and get as many votes as possible.

Apparently they are not standing in the hope of winning any seats, but in the hope and expectation of pushing the Tory party further to the right.

Radio 4 need to give their head a shake.

Please tell me this is not true.
Are all 4x4, vehicles and double cab pick ups to be considered company vehicles from July? Sounds like a massive incentive to get a gas guzzler.

We urgently need to look at de-privatising airports, as they are not incentivised to encourage any kind of public transport.

Edinburgh Airport charges a supplement to arrive on the tram and pre-Covid congestion on the access roads was often complete gridlock. https://xoxo.zone/@mathowie/111415546857027735
