@fuzzface iirc the train would have entailed a transfer and we judged ourselves too wiped out for that. still, the bus ride through rush hour traffic was something of an ordeal, so maybe next time we’ll try to figure out the express train.

@juliewbee We’ve been planning this trip (to Japan) since February and neither one of thought about passports for even a minute in all that time!

Fortunately, Lynn was able to jump off the bus at around 5th and Hill, walk home, retrieve the passports, and Uber back to the airport in time — barely!

luggage reality check: we both squeezed into carry-on bags (one blue,one orange) …

but there’s also a large green suitcase that we’re leaving with fiona in san francisco and a black collabsible canvas carry-on that we’re leaving with patrick in tokyo.

our stuff, however, is squeezed into the two carry-ons (that we will check with the other bags). also, there’s a couple knapsacks and handbags that we’ll take on the plane.

oy, so much luggage!
