    @AAKL @GIbiz @James_Batchelor Depends. They have a lot of money from cloud and windows…So they aren’t really at risk of going under to just keep sending systems out there. (Ie they aren’t really at risk of going Sega: go multi platform or die). That said, I’m afraid by putting their titles on other platforms they will be relegated more to a publisher….that happens to own a bunch of big publisher/studios

    More like they should rebrand to everything is Xbox Gaming Studios (or something) as a publisher and they have a subscription service like Ea, Ubisoft, etc) Game Pass. The way they are going hardware wise, the only thing people might go hmm is handheld. But that already has competition and likely be about like windows phone or Zune.

    @AAKL @vgc_news Sort of, if it sales on PS then Sony still gets some money. However, it should have Sony perhaps rethinking future titles to see if some of these were just that popular or was just a lack of something similar to it.

    @AAKL @vgc_news conversely if this starts netting a major boon and we see nearly or all of MS titles landing on PS…..where does that leave the Xbox hardware? At that point you can get most any of their library on PS or PC it becomes somewhat redundant, especially for gamers on more limited budgets that aren’t looking for multiple systems.

    @AAKL @vgc_news I think that is where they might be heading. Not sure if Sony and Nintendo are ready to go that way fully yet. MS does have solid hardware….but I think the cloud/game pass focus and going so long without a ton of exclusives to say “buy me” when gamers went shopping has hurt the hardware sales.

    @thurrott Maybe that will fix it’s status glitches. Half my team does Marco Polo basically since the statuses are half the time wrong.

    @AAKL @jon @Vivaldi Personally over the last few years Firefox has had more issues with some of the sites my work uses. Edge, Chrome worked fine but….it’s edge and Chrome.

    Vivaldi works great on those sites as well and is pretty customizable too. Highly recommend it. I have it on everything from My StreamDeck to ChimaroOS to Mac to Windows to my iPhone.

    @AAKL @jon @Vivaldi Side note you can load filters lists for the adblocker. I have a lot of the adguard ones in and it blocks about as well.

    @AAKL @jon @Vivaldi Don’t know exactly. I have an extension that is supposed to help with fingerprinting. The other I’m not totally sure, I know I turn off send blah blah to blah blah on almost everything. But it may still have some baked in stuff.

    @AAKL @arstechnica Well to be fair, I don’t blame them. While like nearly every other name in tech, they might could use some more guard rails to protect user data…the whole thing is a bogus PR stunt, else they’d be bringing the hammer down on practically ALL of big tech. Plus, ban it from government employee work phones if they are so worried. Wouldn’t be any different than telling them you can’t have Fortnite installed on your work pc.

    @AAKL @verge @tomwarren Given the initial delays this gem, I still feel it’s too soon for mid upgrades. AlsoI know this gem everyone seems to be dissing anything that isn’t 60 fps and all so I’m the oddball but give me a fun game with a decent stable frame rate and I’ll be happy. My eyes can barely tell the difference at 30 up and not really much difference over 1080.
