The Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition remaster is (so far) absolutely fantastic.

It has like, 3 soundtracks, a million options for sprite variants/sounds, a whole-ass new episode that is really good so far, multiplayer, etc

It also comes with Return of the Triad, the commercial zdoom standalone mod, for.. reasons? (it's good)

Rott is a weird, unique game that was a labor of love, and the remaster is also just that, a labor of love. Fun times.

@mr_daemon I'll likely get it sooner or later for the sheer novelty of it + being a New Blood/Nightdive mark in general, but probably waiting since AC6 is soon and I found navigating in the demo levels to be more than a bit rough.

@megakitsu I really ought to look into if there's alternative sound mods for Quake so I can go back to trying it. I did enjoy the gameplay, but some of the pickup noises and the grenade bounce sounds are just hell on my ears. :c
