there is this new brand of influencer. they promote "deinfluencing" and say that not killing yourself over a new gadget is okay, great even. then they add something about vacationing in Croatia instead of Seychelles being also enough. istg, touch grass, eat grass, whatever

The Balkan web community is still pretty active on Twitter. Some of them tried to go to Bluesky, but it didn't work.

On the other hand, 90% of the community would be banned on Fediverse because of their retrograde, right-wing stances.

@reginasbread Sheesh. Here most companies, both public and private, don't hold employees hostage and you can clock in/out as you want. It's common to go to lunch, snack shopping, or coffee break outside of business premises if your schedule allows it.

is it because I don't have an air fryer? maybe.
they went from 'you can't cook without thermomix' to 'you can't cook without an air fryer'.

@reginasbread I don't understand the hype. I've had an air fryer for a few years because I don't have an oven and it's super convenient for small spaces as well as for eating the "fried" food without using litres of oil. It's great for roasting chestnuts, too. One-person households, elderly, and anyone else who may find difficult to use the standard oven, may benefit from buying a small air fryer for as low as 50 €. 🙂

    @darth I've had so few notifications and sounds enabled on my phone for years that, for example, fuckin' Google regularly fails to notify me of new emails. Even the stuff that I haven't muted, I tend to swipe away (often into oblivion).
