Lunch . Sawdust City Brewing (Gravenhurst ON) Chuffed to Bits. Light and slightly nutty with hints of honey and a caramel backbone. It's sweet, smooth, and makes the work day seem like a quick nip off to the pub...

Home from holiday, time for a beer. Boulevard Brewing Dark Creator barrel aged dopplebock. Strong, boozey, caramel goodness. Notes of oak, vanilla, and only 12.5% ABV so totally crushable.

Having a Lilith imperial porter from Tatamagouche Brewing (Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia)
Cocoa, caramel, and some dark fruit with a hint of coffee on the back. Smooth and light bodied. Slightly mouth coating finish. Another patio pounder at only 10%.

Yup, just got told to "get on your bike and go back to where you came from". My 5 year old daughter was on her bike in front of her (before the car arrived) and after waiting a bit the woman started driving her car towards her, then stopped to yell at my girl to move. When I said "Seriously, you can't wait for a child?" she unbuckled her seat belt and stepped out like she was going to throw down on me, then said she was yelling for her to move because she "didn't want to hit my child".

It's a Mild Friday at work, so my beer matches the vibe.
Hamilton Ontario's' Clifford Brewing Brave Capitan: Caramel, bready nutty goodness with hints of cocoa biscuits on the nose. such a nice beer. I need to get my mild to this level.

Having a Maritime Pale Ale from Fredericton NB's Grimross Brewing. Piney, resinous, light, pithy, and citrusy. Grapefruit and tangelo maybe? Dry clean end with a bitter finish. Not really my jam, but a well crafted beer. 3/5

First pull of At the Märzen of Madness. Nice flavor and aroma with just the right amount of bittering. Head retention is a bit weak, but other than that it's damned fine. There's a 1/2 barrel of it so it'll be on tap for a while.
Fermented 3 weeks, lagered for 3.5 months, keg conditioned for 2 additional months. This is time well spent.
