Alls, wonder whether I already mentioned that (failed to find it in here): There are "some" profiles, mostly ActivityPub ones (like @friedi" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">leipzig.town/This is odd. I have no idea what happens here but I do see some rather long-running tasks in my network tools. Is anyone else capable of reproducing this? Or is it just me / my system / my account again...?

@z428 @ivan Even with a slightly older version of Friendica and now updated version 8.2 of PHP it doesn't load. It is blurred here now.

Hey ,

Does Friendica not support uploading audio? Tried uploading an MP3 but both times I couldn't find the uploaded file in the posting interface.

I'm also using Windows and noticed I had to select all file types to find my MP3 to upload. So maybe Friendica doesn't disallow non-images but the file selection makes it seem like it might.

-Community: Infos zu technischen Problemen bei feddit.de 💻

Seit etwa einer Woche ist leider die Homepage von und damit auch die Community-Seite feddit.de/c/foss_de nicht direkt erreichbar. Das betrifft allerdings "nur" die Homepage bzw. das Webinterface von , also die Seite feddit.de
Die Föderation funktioniert aber und die Posts von/ an die Community erreichen trotzdem alle, die die Community (von Mastodon, Friendica, Akkoma usw. oder einer anderen Lemmy-Instanz aus) abonniert haben. Nur die feddit-User selbst werden ggf. weniger erreicht, sofern sie nur über feddit.de eingeloggt sind. Über diverse Lemmy-Apps oder alternative Frontends (bspw. alexandrite.app oder Quiblr ) funktioniert es dagegen.

Inhalte dieser Community sind bspw. hier alexandrite.app/feddit.de/c/fo… und hier phtn.app/c/foss_de@feddit.de auch ohne Anmeldung vollständig zu sehen.

Ihr könnt also weiterhin gerne Infos oder Fragen mit -Bezug an die Community schicken. Ich hoffe, die Probleme können bald behoben werden, ich informiere Euch, wenn es was Neues gibt!

@caos Kann ich bestaetigen. Es kommt nur "Server error". Bitte mal in das error_log des Webservers gucken, ob Fehlermeldungen kommen. Falls nein, dann bitte den Log-Level auf WARNING mindestens erhoehen (ich kenne mich aber nicht mit aus).

Eure Meinung ist gefragt:
Folgender grober Netzwerkaufbau:
VF-Kabelmodem --> FritzBox (Internettelefonie) --> OPNsense --> LAN und DMZ

Frage:
In der die als Exposed Host eintragen oder lieber doch einzelne Portfreigaben auf die OPNSense definieren auf dieser dann die gleichen für die jeweiligen Zielhosts existieren?

Bin mir da unschlüssig, ob durch den Exposed Host auf der FritzBox nicht irgendwelche Nachteile existieren. Auf der einen Seite habe ich ja dahinter die OPNSense als , die den weiteren Netzwerkverkehr regelt.

Was meint ihr?

Guten Morgen , wenn ich mit der Maus über einen User fahre (ohne Klick) geht normalerweise ein kleines Menü auf, dass es mir ermöglicht diesen User als Kontakt hinzuzufügen, eine Nachricht zu schreiben, mir die Netzwerkbeiträge anzuzeigen oder das Profil anzeigen zu lassen.
Dieses Menü funktioniert bei mir nicht mehr, sprich es wird mir nicht mehr angezeigt.
Habe ich hier unbewusst bei den Einstellungen etwas verändert oder gibt es an dieser Stelle ein Bug in der aktuellen Dev?

@unity Hast du schon den Cache vom Browser geleert? Falls danach der Fehler weg ist, liegt an deinem Browser, das ist dann ein altbekannter Fehler in Browsern, die bei CSS-Dateien und auch JavaScript-Dateien nicht den Cache aktualisieren "wollen". Einfach loesbar ist dies mit einem Verfahren das auch als "Cache-Busting" bekannt ist: qwant.com/?q=cache-busting Einfach mal angucken, was damit gemeint ist. :smile:

@unity Okay, dann sollte das ausgeschlossen sein. Unter Firefox kannst du mit der Taste F12 die Konsole aufmachen. Kommen dort bei dir Fehlermeldungen? Hier erhalte ich nur Warnungen:

@unity Dann gucke bitte auch in die Netzwerkanaylse rein, eventuell neuladen lassen, ob dort Fehler-Antworten kommen. Z.B, koennten auch die Zugriffsberechtigungen an den JavaScript-/CSS-Dateien fehlen. Ich habe hier 0644 fuer Dateien und 0755 fuer Verzeichnisse und Scripte unter ./bin/.

@unity Ja, Firefox ist sehr empfindlich, was Fehler in JavaScript-Dateien anbelangt. Firefox endet sofort die Ausfuehung, Edge macht weiter. Daran liegt es dann wohl, dass bei dir das Popup nicht kommt.

@unity Ja, alles gut dann. 200 OK sieht gut aus. Lade bitte nochmals die Dateien in view/js/ hoch und leere den Cache bzw. drueck UMSCHALT-F5.

@unity @abu Hier auch, tut mir leid. JavaScript-Dateien auf dem Server neu hochladen, am besten view/ neu hochladen (Rechte 0777 auf view/smarty3/compiled/ setzen). Und Browsercache leeren. Mehr faellt mir langsam nicht mehr ein, woran es liegen kann.

@unity @feb Versuche mal den Cache von Friendica zu leeren, koennte es auch nicht beseitigen: TRUNCATE TABLE cache``. Ich gehe aber davon aus, dass es nicht beseitigt wird.

@unity @feb Gucke auch bitte mal in deiner Apache-Konfiguration nach, ob du irgendwelche HTML-Filter aktiv hast, die eventuell die Auslieferung des HTML-Codes beeinflussen koennten. Zeige mal bitte was sudo ls -l /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/ ausgibt. Dort sollten nur symbolische Links zu ../mods-available/ vorhanden sein.

I created a group venera.social/profile/africaev… When I post a message it appears unlisted despite the fact that I have selected public so that it is broadcast outside the group too. Is there a setting that allows you to make the message 100% public.

@tness If you mention the group/forum foo with !foo it will be only posted on that group/forum. If you want to have your post also visible to your followers, mention it as any other contact with @foo. I hope this solves your problem?

Any idea what the situation with the Docker image is? It seems like Phil isn't active and hasn't been for a while. Does anyone know if he's OK?

Hopefully he is, and is just taking a break. Does anyone else know how to generate a new docker image? At the moment, we're kinda stuck on 2023.12, which AIUI has known vulnerabilities.

Failing that, how easy is it to migrate an existing installation away from Docker?
