Mine was a consulting session at an German store of British 'Lingerie Stylists' Rigby & Peller in Bonn. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Very large changing rooms, they ask if it's ok to come in to help, if you want you get entered in their customer database.

It already starts when you enter the store and it has this decent designer store atmosphere. And then you see this on the wall:

The (rightfully so) famous German writer, translator and narrator Harry Rowohlt once said: "Say what you think. And have thought before that."

I totally agree, but my ADHD does it different. I don't start to talk without having thought about it upfront, but while I'm talking, my brain explores five different directions to continue or that I think are related. So I know where I start, but never where I finish.

I'm happy with this, but conversation partners sometimes are overwhelmed. I always interpreted this as "you are too much", but in fact I love that my brain works this way and I won't cut myself down to fit into other people's expectations. ✨

And the most shitty thing you can do at one of the next restaurant visits is to wait for me to tell the waiter to separate the bill because I can't remember the calculation, pay for yourself and ONLY THEN tell me: "Oh, well, I was expecting you to pay this time."

Fuck. This still pisses me off.

    They are from a small Bulgarian designer I found on Etsy. Handmade to measure from pure cotton, delivery takes exactly one day from handing over to the express courier.

    Don't buy fast fashion if you can avoid it. I know, a dress for 80€ (they had a discount code!) is a lot for many people. But in the long term it pays off.

    This style certainly is not everyone's taste, but there are others, less outrageous designers.

    Something that changed my view on my identity quite substantially:

    If you feel imposter syndrome for "not being trans enough" or "not being trans the right way", please remember that you don't have to earn who you are.

    Your identity is core, not given to you. You might not yet know it exactly or it might change over time, but it's a part of you.

    Additionally I'm certainly bad at flirting.

    My first girlfriend picked me up at a lab (we were both studying chemistry) and later handed me over to her best friend.

    My gf had separated from me and her best friend from her boyfriend.

    And she knew Beate had a crush on me (which I certainly didn't notice!). So she called me and told me, that her friend really needed someone to talk to 🤭

    This is how I found my later wife. Well, how I was found 🥳

    Ok, so it turns out that cataract surgery with general anesthesia is possible but costs 300€ extra per eye.

    Per eye because they only do one eye per appointment.

    We'll see what the health insurance says about this.

    And I wonder how this works for the time between the two surgeries. Because one eye will have a correction lens and one will not. So my glasses will not work for both eyes.
