Has anyone else noticed that, like, in the last 3 years, a google search is almost as useful as asking the same question of your cat? Talk about enshittification, sheesh.
@LouisIngenthron It's an answer, but not the only one. I was being hyperbolic in my intro, but there's a LOT the left can be doing besides merely voting or engaging in violence. It just doesn't do much of it.
@ceoln@LouisIngenthron
I don't know anyone serious without Project Lincoln or No Labels in their name trying to "reach out to the right." That ship sailed a long time ago.
My definition of a moderate in 2023 is someone who watches @msnbc only when Nicolle Wallace has David Jolly or John Kasich on a panel. Sometimes they'll scratch their chins and wonder why so many Liberals loathe Tulsi Gabbard, or giggle at Marianne Williamson quotes.
Before I reply, tell me what a "Left-Libertarian" believes in 2023. Is that someone who will only moved to a Peter Thiel floating city if they know beforehand that the dock workers and wine stewards will all get UBI?
"Since the suspension came hours after me posting this thread from the app, and arrived with no stated violations, we assume my thread about Mastodon was why the app was killed. I'd read Twitter had lifted the prohibition on talking about other services. "
@ianbetteridge@calckey Great. It's really fantastic, and getting better every day. Now that AT/Bluesky is here, I think we can get more competitive with our fedi platforms. #Calckey just needs a few more great devs to come join us and it could quickly become the #2 platform. A healthy rivalry is bound to ensue.
Calckey is increasing in downloads every day. It's still a young project, and I prefer that it continue to build a grassroots following this way until a few more features make it an unquestionably potent alternative to Mastodon; especially for institutional users. At that point, some exciting moves are envisioned and I will be far more vocal about it.
Once again, twitter publishes prices that make no sense. It was assumed they mean 3000 tweets per APP token. But what about app user tokens. No mention of them. 3000 isn't even the product of 10 frequent users. Why would we pay $100 a month for such nonsense? It's such incompetence treating devs this way. Madness..
@terryoneill Our extension is about much more than twitter. But so long as 80% of the press corps is there, we had to try and leverage things to ease our transition (and theirs) to the New World.
@erincandescent They had the "influential users" in the bag before they opened the beta. It was a well-orchestrated hit-parade of nattering neophytes gushing about Bluesky with only nominal knowledge of WTF they were talking about.
