Wir hatten gestern eine Diskussion.

Jemand sagte, Titel und Berufsbezeichnungen müssten stets mit Artikeln versehen werden.

Z.B. "Der Professor Hans Maier ging nach Hause."

Ich sagte, das sei Unsinn, es hieße "Professor Hans Maier ging nach Hause".

Außer in Sonderfällen (ich habe vorher vom Professor geredet, aber den Namen nicht erwähnt, und füge ihn jetzt ein: "Der Professor, Hans Maier, ging nach Hause.")

Der Duden sagt nichts dazu.

@mina Mein Sprachgefühl. Das ist für mich eh letzte Instanz, ich halte wenig vom Duden oder anderen Regelwerken. Und es wird gefeuert von meiner unsinnig breiten Lektüre (mehr als 200 Jahre rückwärts). Mit etwas Arbeit könnte ich dir Dutzende Belegstellen liefern, aber ich muß ja nicht, ich hab frei.

@mina Ach, was solls. Ausm Kopp:
Professor Moiriarty und Colonel Sebastian Moran, aber niemals "der Professor Moriarty" oder "der Colonel Moran". Mit Artikel nur ohne Namenszusatz, also "der Professor ist die Spinne im Netz".

Wird wohl doch ne Verspätung. Im hessischen Bergland steht ziemlich viel Wasser in den Tälern, da würd ich auch nicht mit voller Geschwindigkeit über die Bahndämme kacheln... 😬

Bücherpaket (vom Balkon aus den Postwagen gesehen, dann eine Email bekommen, ich sei nicht da und würde per Post eine Karte kriegen, mit der ich zur Filiale soll, ich also schnell runter und noch meinen freundlichen DHL-Mann erwischt) fürs Wochenende, so schön.

Hi szene

I want to build a shoe cabinet for the hallway.

It should have a nice pillow to sit on to put on your shoes on one side and have enough space to store around 15 pairs of shoes and a drawer for all the things in the hallway.

The fronts, the sides, the top should be nice massive cherry wood.

The rear, the bottom and maybe some other non-visible constructive wood pieces should be multiplex.

The drawers - they should hinge open - i wanted to make out of multiplex too but the longer i think about it the more i think that it might became maple wood.

This is my second scetch of what i want to build and i want to run it by "you" to see what comments and recommendations you have.

Besides the obvious general "what do you think of the idea" the more concret question goes over "what do you think about the porpotions" and "what finish / oil / surface should i take for cherry wood inside?"

@mcfly You may want to consider constructing the seat first, with a side and feet on both sides of it, because it will have to carry the biggest load.
