@casseagull You mean the days they aren't sitting? We help our colleagues who translate all the House and Senate committees :)
(but it's much shorter days, like 1800 words instead of 4000-5000 like we get during extended sittings)

One of my least favourite things about Ottawa is that everyone expects you to have a car and be able to just drive to wherever to do whatever. Not my friends, but the general population. It's just so gross.

@casseagull When I told my manager I couldn't get to the office that easily, her first reaction was "you don't have a car?!" Pff.

@ShaunOttawa @casseagull I got mine when I was 19 I think? But then my parents refuse to let me get a car "driveway is too small; too bad you're wasting three hours a day minimum on transit because we live in the suburbs".

By the time I was "allowed" to drive again, I was terrified and was having panic attacks... so that's over lol

The topic of first concerts we saw came up today and I was floored to realize that today is the thirtieth anniversary of my seeing Pink Floyd in concert at the Big O (Olympic stadium) in Montreal.

What a band to see live. And really set expectations way too high for other concerts.

Our big trees have been adopted by Capital forest!! The woman was ecstatic, said they were beautiful trees. And she'll send us the exact spot later so we can go and visit them!! Making Ottawa greener 😍
