You’re not wrong. Obama was a really good president. The problem is that instead of being far left, he was a very left central president and tried very hard to work with Republicans.

Part of the problem is that Republicans didn’t want to associate with the opposing factor and started moving further right as Obama positioned himself in the center. The racists in the far right were ready to undo everything Obama helped shaped during his 8 years in office.

Is no one else going to talk about how weird it is to see a square manhole cover? Now there’s a risk of dropping the cover down the hole due to the shape.

There’s a risk that if you try to turn the square cover that the cover will fall into the hole. It’s really strange that it’s square and not round.

You’re right. OP called it a manhole, so I assumed. But looking at the size compared to the foot, it’s too small to be a manhole cover.

I think you’re misunderstanding. Yes, it cannot fit in when it’s angled properly to fit into the hole. However, if you angle the plate 45 degrees and lift one end of the plate, it will fall into the diagonally. That’s why manholes are round shaped. There is no angle for a round cover to fall into the hole itself.

I’m usually against frivolous cases like this over nothing, but if he actually did measure that it’s impossible to hold 24 oz in a cup labeled that way, then he does have a good case. I think the case would be more on the supplier that provides the cups to Cinemark though, and less on the theater that’s taking the word of the supplier.

It’s true that there are more liberals than conservatives in America. However keep in mind that in the last 35 years, conservatives have only won the popular vote only once for president, but we’ve had a couple of Republicans as presidents since then. The Electorial college is really gerrymandered in conservative favor.

This plane has been flying for 20+ years before it ran into an issue. This is not a Boeing problem. It’s a maintenance issue with United.

You drive your car for 20 years and your brakes fail, it’s not Honda’s fault that you weren’t doing the maintenance on it.

By “new generation”, do you mean the 777X? Boeing’s production seems to have throttled down on it for a while now. I’m guessing they’re pushing the 787 over it from what I can tell.

The article is behind a paywall. If you look at other articles, the status change is due to the Truth Social stock that just went public, and he owns 58% of the stocks. The stock jumped up by a lot. But he can’t take it out for another 6 months.

So starting today, he’ll probably have a bank that will loan him enough to make bond since there’s a good chance he can pay back in 6 months. However, I hope it completely tanks by then.

This doesn’t surprise me. A lot of tech companies that are located in California just had massive layoffs in 2024, which I would think is a significant contributor. Tiktok, Google, Amazon, Riot Games just to name a few.
