Friday night - Backstage in Munich - Part 1
Four Stroke Baron opened up the evening ... didn't know them and I'll leave it there. Sorry guys.
Then The Hirsch Effekt entered the stage and conquered the audience immediately. What an energetic performance. Live their songs are even more impressive than on the albums. When they finished their set I thought: Caligula's Horse will have a hard time topping that. @DXMacGuffin@yourfutureex
@bestiaexmachina jepp!
I have a feeling #Google#email may not be around in a few years. Does anyone have a suggestions for email that isn't #Proton? Should I just pay for a domain and cheap #virtualhosting with email?
@shanesemler I've been using the Berlin based Mailbox.org for many years. Can recommend them.
Running your own server in a virtual hist is possible, but will probably cause you a lot of deliverability issues. Usually other providers block small mail server instances that are unknown. I don't recommend it if you're not in the topic.
Another recommendation is "Hosted Mailcow" but as it's a German company as well, I don't know if they have any international offers / support.
I am often asked for templates for emails aimed at inviting new users and bands to our metalhead.club.
While I can understand that it's easier to use a template, customize it if necessary and send it, I don't think it's particularly useful at the moment.
Because: Recycled texts wear out. Bands don't want to receive the same email 10 times under different names and don't want to feel like they're talking to a machine. Personal recommendations and personal communication are important.
Second problem: spam filters will recognize our texts as mass mailings at some point and wonder whether they might be spam. We want to avoid that at all costs.
So do me a favor and try to come up with your own text if you want to recruit bands :-)
metalhead.club is free of advertising. We pay our server bills by asking our users for donations.
We do not sell user data and do not use it for tracking / user analysis
The servers are 100% powered by green electricity
metalhead.club is part of Mastodon, a decentralized and open-source concept for modern social networks. No billionaires, no big companies, everything is run by individuals or small businesses.
Also falls dir da jemand in den Sinn kommt - gerne weitersagen ;)
