The announcement by the US on Wednesday that it had already provided Ukraine with long-range missiles has drawn focus to the ongoing debate in Germany over the delivery of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukrainian forces....
Anyone know what launch method is intended if the Taurus was given to the Ukrainians? Can the F-16 they have launch them? Or are they considering a modified ground launch method (similar to the GL-SDB)?
Good choice, although the swiss aren’t selling to Ukraine apparently (veto’ed several transfers). There are a few other CIWS systems which would also be good. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYJ2KKnl6kA
A couple of years ago I built two ram pumps and installed them in the stream near my house. They pumped water for the garden for a few months during spring and summer. I’m okay with the fact that the pumps are just useful during part of the year, but didn’t really like damming up the entire stream for my installation, seemed...
Arguably. Reading the comments on avhearld, the cowling latches to each other rather than to the frame and the latches themselves are very low and easy to miss. Airbus has tried to eliminate this potential oversight, whereas Boeing has not. So yes, potentially missed non walk around, but also a possible systematic design failure.
Not going away from Proton myself, but yes this is damned infuriating. Although I’d deal with a reliable Android app. The Beta Android looks good, but why Proton has struggled so much with Android is beyond my current digging.
Possibly, but in other social contexts (aka a cafe in Europe or elsewhere) time pressure might not be a priority. Having a single seating for the entire morning may not seem viable, but can be in some places.
Mind you that’s mostly non-liquid accounting of his stock and assets. Not that he’ll have to worry about what he spends, but it’s not cash in the bank billions.

Anyone else use NewsBlur Apps or WebApp. They have a free and paid, which works well enough to aggregate the sites I need to get a diverse news collection in an RSS like format.
I still miss google reader and past times, but gotta adapt.
While empathize with the sentiment, if pay alone is figured, $174k for two households (one in DC, one in their district) plus flights and etc doesn’t allow for a huge amount of savings especially if you are in a high cost of living district.
Now do they nearly always find ways to supplement that pay in legal ways, yes. But the question is do we want them beholden to those supplement ways? Or do we want them clear thinking and loyal to the voters who put them there?
I’m fine with the Proton Mail desktop client being an Electron app, but it still need to use desktop-based interactions. For example, when right clicking on the inbox, I expect to see options to mark all as read etc. - not an Inspect Element menu (that actually works and opens up devtools inside Proton Mail)....
I wonder if this is what started Ukraine on the track to get the M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicle. The line charges in particular seem like they might help solve some of the momentum issues.
