My (https://tommi.space), even though relatively simple and basic, has a lot of technical debt ( especially), and I am getting crazy cleaning it up…

@GustavinoBevilacqua Mmmh… to be sure I renewed the Let’s Encrypt certificate, even though everything seemed normal to me. Is it working now?

tommi,
@tommi@pan.rent avatar

@oblomov Secondo me questa cosa si potrebbe svolgere sotto il cappello amministrativo/associativo dell’Italian Linux Society

Hey tinkerers!

I have a git submodule that I am adding inside the repository of my website, but I want it to be ignored, except for its README.md.

I have tried two different approaches. In both cases I am able to exclude the git submodule, but I can’t find a way to include the README and use it as a regular template.

Option 1: using .eleventyignore

inputdir/submodule<br></br>!inputdir/submodule/README.md<br></br>

Option 2: using .eleventy.js

module.exports = function (eleventyConfig) {<br></br>  eleventyConfig.ignores.add('inputdir/submodule');<br></br>  eleventyConfig.ignores.add('inputdir/submodule/README.md'); // added it first to be sure<br></br>  eleventyConfig.ignores.delete('inputdir/submodule/README.md');<br></br>};<br></br>

Do you have any suggestions to fix this? The ignore section in Eleventy’s documentation is not helping much…

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for replying, @cjerrington!

Actually, I really need to have all of the files of the submodule locally.

I just added the wonderful “Human made” badge to my personal website! 🚀

Thanks for designing this, @andycarolan ❤️

Thanks for suggesting that, @federicoMassi! I have already been using a humans.txt file on my website since a couple of years.

My goal this week is deploying the next major release of my Interlinking (wikilink) plugin and catching up on publishing my last 31 weeks in review :thisisfine:

Oh @anarodrigues. Yes.

https://ohhelloana.blog/i-want-it-all/

Also it feels like everyone else is keeping up, but they're not.

I think we're all keeping up with different pockets of stuff while letting others slide, and when I consider everyone that isn't me - yes between them they've totally kept up with more stuff than me!

What is great about this web dev community though is the sharing. We can't read all the things, but as long as we all keep communicating, we'll be alright :)

Preach!

Thank you @sarajw.

Hand to the heart: is anyone using multy-keyword display values?

Because I haven't seem them anywhere but the MDN docs. 🫣

tommi,
@tommi@pan.rent avatar

@stefan So odd! Would the second value be a fallback? Or what should be the behaviour?

tommi,
@tommi@pan.rent avatar

@stefan uh, interesting.
