@daringfireball@gruber You should do an article highlighting how Apple also seems to completely ignore bug reports... I've filed dozens over the years, I've think I've gotten one, maybe two responses?
@gruber First iPad keyboard with a dedicated Siri button, among other things. And the arrow keys appear to have a raised up-arrow to help you orient your fingers without looking?
Does anyone else have a sassy HomePod and a well-behaved HomePod? One of them 75% of the time is like "Ummm, who is speaking??" and the other is like "Done, I gotchu Christian"
@christianselig Well, it still responds to requests, but you mentioned it saying "who is speaking," and so I was thinking maybe Personal Requests was turned off, so it wasn't recognizing your voice
@christianselig E.g. if you have it turned off on one, it would still respond to generic requests, but if you asked it to do something personal like text someone, it would ask you who is speaking.
Random question, but does anyone get that bug in Safari on Mac where when navigating the YouTube website, sometimes you'll navigate back a page and the page won't actually change at all despite the URL updating?
@christianselig I originally bought the Apple official case... monstrous and IMO ugly, so returned it. Lately I just keep the official front screen protector on, and a generic VR foam pad (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WDRM83B) in the inside of the AVP, and chuck it in my backpack, and haven't had any issues?
@daringfireball “Lastly, Zuckerberg, discussing Apple’s decision to use hand-tracking for control of the interface, just casually mentions that hand-tracking is effectively a stop-gap until we get a ‘neural interface’.”
This is also what I would say if I didn't have anything anywhere near as good as Apple's eye-tracking.
