Should your country accept Palestinian refugees from Gaza for resettlement?

@Mindiell @evan @ergifruit if there was an option for "strong yes, and" or "strong yes, but" <what you said>, that's what I would have voted for. The right of return is inalienable.

Ugh, I’m nervous about posting this, even under a paywall, but I had to yell for a minute.

I’ve started to read the new @UncannyMagazine issue, and it really starts with a bang, @Catvalente “Can You Hear Me Now?” This is such a great story about Consumerist culture and feminity as performance. And it’s really scary and the neediness of the voice speaking really sucks you into the void.
You can read it here, but I recommend to buy the whole issue.

This pretty much explains the Fediverse

Share this post and if you can, post a comment because, genuinely I woke up this morning to a staggering number of shares and favourites.

The comments PROVE Mastodon is the place where common decency is being restored. I feel hopeful for the future.

What lovely people you all are.

Comment to be part of this new town square, or as I like to think of it, our tearoom. And add me, I'm going to be brewing lots of tea.

These should be happy pictures but they’re sad. We have a small lot and now that the kids are big we’ve turned half the backyard into a bee pasture, which looks great. Except for… the buffet’s open but nobody’s coming. As in, almost no bees. A few years ago you could hear the buzz from every direction. Commercial bee population is being nursed along by professional beekeepers, but your wild native city bees are just missing.

@timbray I've noticed the same thing this year. Notable absence of bees.
