@caos ein jugendliches Highlight von mir war damals irgendwann 90er Wizo im Innsbrucker Utopia, extra angereist aus der Unterlandler Provinz. ✊

bubble, I need advice 🙏 I’m in the market for an entry level digital camera & (zoom?) lens to do bird photography from at most 5–15 meters away (for now).

I shoot 99% of my photos on iPhone, a clip-on lens is an option.

I do know my way around a DSLR, but that feels a bit much. I know micro 4/3rds are a thing, but I know nothing about the practicalites of them.

I don’t want to spend an arm and leg (insert “in this economy” joke).

What are my options, what to avoid?

@janl @ewolff I could tell almost the same story except I didn’t start in the eighties. 😅 But this very Sony it is these days. It’s a bit pricey but the zoom quality for the camera size is worth it IMHO.

The Austrian National Library has sent me an email today. They are going to archive my grocery price tracking site in the coming days. It will be part of our national archives.

Legally, that means scientific institutions have now proper access to the data.

Turns out my decision to do everything client side was a good one. It's just a handful of static files, the rest is done client-side in JavaScript.

They use the same software as archive.org. Works well there.

Love it when a plan works.
