I don’t know about this instance, but in the general, it could be that the person is a complete fucking douche, and people are trying to stick it to them however they can. That might mean lying, blowing things out of proportion, or just slightly twisting the truth.
And once sharks smell blood, they swarm. One allegation will lead to another.
Again, I don’t know the situation here and refuse to pick a side. Guilt is for the courts to decide. But there’s plenty of people who will lie, cheat, and steal for money or fame.
That was highly specific language. There was no miscommunication. They were inappropriate. They were not misleading. They said exactly what they meant.
Also, "All terms will go live only when both parties have discussed and have agreed.” ? Hah. The vast majority agreed last time! It was only a vocal few who didn’t agree, and there will always be some who don’t agree. That’s such a nothing statement that I can’t even believe they said it.
Perhaps. Or perhaps they’re a giant behemoth where 1 hand doesn’t know what the other is doing, and the person with the authority for this hasn’t bothered.
I bought the Kobo Libra Color and I love it so far. Previously I’ve had various Kindles and a Meeebook P78, and I like the Kobo a lot better so far. And I’m still just using it for B&W books at the moment.
The color is pretty faded, as you’d expect from e-ink. But I do enjoy that the book covers are in color.
I was actually hoping this was going to be a cover for my model, but oh well. :)
The best controller I arguably thing is the 360 controller. It just feels right to use in fighting games and fps. I like xboxs layout with the analog sticks....
Gamesir T4 Kaleid. I love the hall effect joysticks, and it feels like it’s the right size. The one negative is that it’s wired-only.
OTOH, the GameSir Nova (not lite) is hot garbage. I hate almost everything about it, and its wireless PC connection (without the dongle that it does not come with) is trash. It’s basically only good as a Switch controller… And I haven’t even actually tried it for that.
The GameSir Nova Lite is much better, but still too small and you need to use the slightly-older 4200 firmware (from the official app) instead of the latest, because they got stupid about things.
I somewhat like the Xbox Elite V2 controller, but you have to get a good one. A bad one will have really crappy triggers that sometimes won’t work. I think I’ve even heard that the sticks are sometimes wonky. And it’s not hall effect.
I have recently obtained a friend’s old Formlabs Form 2 SLA printer. I I am an absolute beginner to printing, but I am pretty excited to get into it....
I have plenty of space, and I still sold off my resin printer because of fumes, mess, and general headaches. I don’t recommend it if you aren’t fully prepared for what it requires to do it safely and sanely.
The PC gaming industry (AAA and such) seems more sensible the economy of money around the Apple Platform, for sure. But we’re talking about iOS gaming… not exactly what keep the industry busy with complex technologies like RayTracing, cutting edge PBR textures and gigallion of cinematic rendered Quadruple-A art assets....
What I’ve heard from gamedevs is that Linux games are their lowest sales and their highest bug reports. Some of that may be from working on a system they aren’t used to, but it just reinforces the idea that they aren’t going to make money there yet.
Google’s migration guide for developers lists what they’re supposed to switch to on Android phones and Wear OS. However, there is no replacement for the Goals API that lets Google Fit users set “how many steps and heart points they want to aim for each day.”
I think it’s by design, not because they’re stupid. They saw those forks right away and decided to let them get settled in and comfortable, and then removed them. Knowing that the hammer will come down eventually is really demoralizing. Knowing it’ll come down right away means you can test the waters and see how it goes without much personal investment.
Because someone in the gamedev community once posted about using achievements to measure engagement with users, it caught on, and now there are actual achievements mixed in with standard progress, including just launching the game, apparently.
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. They clearly skimped on the content for all those planets and handwaved it away as perfectly normal and expected, when it clearly wasn’t good. Why? To add breadth without adding time to the development. To “increase their output” without adding more input.
It clearly didn’t work there, but it could have worked with some decent mechanics and a little more thought into the content. It worked for No Man’s Sky.
Luckily for Bethesda, AI has suddenly gotten a lot better, and they’ll be able to use it to generate a ton of content that feels better than standard old procedurally generated content. That is, of course, if they can manage to work it into their tooling for their ancient engine.
It seems pretty clear to me that they definitely intended to include breast jiggle physics at some level, and they decided that that was something that should be decided by the community. That would indicate to most casual readers that it’s a priority for the devs. If they didn’t realize that would strike a chord with both the pro-sexualization and anti-sexualization people, they weren’t thinking at all.
This looks like a cutesy, cozy game that probably shouldn’t even have jiggle physics. If they really wanted it in there, they should have just done it and said nothing. The “nasty people” they don’t want to “attract” would have appreciated the jiggle, and everyone else would have just ignored it.
The devs brought it into the spotlight and it got talked about. I’m not surprised at that outcome at all.
Yeah, I got that the 150% was a joke. But I think the meat of the uproar wasn’t the joke, but the whole situation of posting this for the community as if it’s an important thing to decide. The joke didn’t help, either, as it shows they weren’t taking this seriously, further enraging people.
Sweeping it under the rug then rubbed everyone the wrong way.
Done well, I think “jiggle-physics” actually call less attention the chest, as it doesn’t look unnatural. The games that get noticed aren’t implementing it that way, though, so it gets a bad rap.
That’s only a short-term solution. That LTS only lasts so long, and both Apple and Google now require that you recompile your app with the latest APIs every 2 years or less.
As a wannabe game developer, I plan to use UE5 and take advantage of the deals that Epic offers for selling on their store, but not the exclusivity. I would actually like to launch there, so that my first sales get me as much money as possible, instead of some storefront, but it’s basically game-suicide to do that.
I wish Epic would smarten up about all the complaints about their stores and exclusivity practices and realize that gamers would use their store if it just had the features it needs. They aren’t as entrenched in Steam’s store as Epic believes. Especially after all the free games that Epic has given away already.
As for “Alan Wake 2 dev”… Wake up! Trying to frame this as a “woe is me” situation is ridiculous. That game had a ton of hype before it was even announced, and failing to capitalize on that is the dev’s and publisher’s fault, not the consumer. A Kickstarter would have been nuts if money was what was needed.
That really sucks. I really liked Moon and Mars was fun, too. I’m definitely in for the kickstarter on Home. Here’s hoping they can find a publisher soon.
Anyone else think the play store has had such a constant decline to the point where you can barely find an app without being flooded with ads. I pretty much only use f droid at this point because the quality of apps is just higher
I finally solved it. Voron KAMP’s Voron Purge technique puts little blobs of filament on the bed. I also have Voron Tap. My tool head was hitting those blobs and moving upwards slightly, causing the extruder not to squish the filament into the bed in the same pattern as the voron logo from the purge.
My solution was to initially to move the purge further way, but that kills large parts of my bed usage. So I just wrote my own purge line script and I’m using that now.
