Wie geht das eigentlich zusammen, dass man Erstattungen aufgrund von Fahrgastrechten noch beantragen muss?

Meine gesamte Reise, von der Buchung bis zum Ausstieg, ist in irgendwelchen Datenbanken erfasst. Die haben mein Ticket gescannt, die wissen in welchem Zug ich sitze und wie verspätet der ist. Die wissen auch selbst über die Nichtverfügbarkeit einer gebuchten Reiseklasse Bescheid und schicken mir dafür sogar automatisierte Nachrichten.

Erstattet mir den Differenzbetrag und Schluss.

@OmegaPolice Na mir ist schon klar dass das eine Kostensenkungsmaßnahme ist, weil man damit Kunden von der Rückforderung abschreckt. ("Boah kompliziert, das tu ich mir nicht an.")

Die Frage ist, warum diese Maßnahme legal ist.

@OmegaPolice "Der tradierte Erstattungsprozess" basiert auf der Fahrgastrechteverordnung. Die wäre einfach anzupassen. Das Transportunternehmen könnte verpflichtet werden, bei Vorliegen aller zur Erstattung notwendigen Daten diese automatisch durchzuführen.

@OmegaPolice Also das ÖBB Fahrgastrechte-Formular fragt mich nach Ticketcode, Art des Problems, Kontonummer, Name, Adresse, E-Mail-Adresse und Scans der Bestätigung der Verspätung bzw. des Downgrades.

Alles davon haben die bereits zur Erfüllung des Beförderungsvertrags gespeichert. Da muss ich laut DSGVO Art. 6(1)(b) nicht einmal explizit Zustimmung erteilen.

Why are airports designed to be a sensory nightmare.

I know there’s airports that have rooms for reduced sensory, that’s great.

But I’m still wondering why they have to be so overwhelming by design.

@annaecook Not trying to one-up you, but I recently entered a train station (!) through an underground tunnel that was LCD screens on three sides, with garish colours, lots of motion, and loud sounds. It was nauseating.

And the purpose of this monstrous implementation of a horrible idea was, of course, advertising.

Today in Florence: the 100km del Passatore ultramarathon departs.

I just noticed that by the time I posted this, the race winner had already reached the finish line in Faenza.

Federico Furiani ran 100 kilometres in 7 hours, 10 minutes and 58 seconds.

Giuseppe Zonta finished the race in 2073rd place overall, in 16 hours, 39 minutes and 8 seconds.

This makes him the winner in the over-80 (!!!) age group. I repeat, the man completed an ultramarathon at over 80 years of age.

Kartoffeltest bestanden, Lolizei ist ohne uns zu kontrollieren an uns vorbeigelatscht. Könnte zwar weiß Gott was im Gepäck haben aber wir sehen halt nicht aus wie Auslendas.
