Our embark on sinister soil has had a bit of a slow start, so I hope we have enough items for our trading caravan to supply us with food and other assorted items for the next year.
We are constantly getting covered in malodorous goo and it's making our dwarves cranky. But outside of that it's not too bad, as long as our goblin neighbors don't invite themselves to our fort too soon. We need to set up cage traps first. 😁
The electricians are here and they are going to replace the base board heaters upstairs. After they are done I'll move my desk back and get my computer up and running again. We might have a stream tonight yet, if I feel up for it.
And they are done! My desk is back where it was but I still have to plug in my computer. I think that will take half an hour since I also have a bunch of cables that need "managing". I'll do that after work and see if I am up for an afternoon stream. ♥️
So I saw that Apple "Crush" ad and... I don't really get the controversy? Definitely clumsy and a bit weird, but I'm not really sure what the big deal is.
Today we are striking the Earth. With our embark preparations completed in our sinister biome, we begin the search for iron and the magma we will use to power our forges! What threats do we face in the wilderness? We don't know yet, but I'm sure we will find out.
You know I think I will squeeze in a stream this afternoon. Tonight I have to disassemble my desk upstairs which means I if I am going to play some Dwarf Fortress, my window of opportunity is between 3 and 7 PM tonight.
Tonight on Dwarf Fortress, The Plane of Myth: a new world with some tweaked parameters. I'll be settling on an embark site and choosing a Dwarven civilization to help me take over the region. Will it work? Hard to tell, but it's worth a shot.
