I made this post because I really like the design of GNOME, and although i’d like customizability, it is mostly enough for my everyday needs. But I want to understand why people may choose other desktop environments…or why you would/would’nt use GNOME.
No, it’s a portrayal of how women were treated not long ago everywhere. And the ending hints at how women are mostly treated now. Dunno man, maybe we didn't watch the same movie.
Hey everyone, a while ago I made [this post] (https://kbin.social/m/linux/t/108370/Help-me-find-a-fitting-distro) asking for recommandations of distros. After some considerable thinking I went ahead and chose EndeavourOS (with Gnome) due to wanting an experience as close to Arch as possible but having some handholding at the...
Probably already requested, but can the floating subscribed magazines panel be added? It's quite handy to be able to quickly see all the magazines you're subscribed too, instead of having to enter a separate page.
Didn't have this problem the past days, but today I got notifications from people replying to my comments. I click on them, and it navigates me to the article's page, but I cannot see the replies to my comments....
As the title says I've noticed that in the past day kBin often freezes up when I view a thread (Firefox pops up asking me if I want to stop the tab or not). I use Firefox on EndeavourOS but I didn't have any problems with it for the past 2 weeks....
Sorry for misunderstanding, I should've been more clear: I do use extensions, namely uBlock, Tampermonkey and bitwarden, but I was also using them when everything ran smooth.
What I meant I didn't quite understand was "try creating a vanilla prefix (firefox -P), then testing it there".
I think many of you know the feeling of being in a reader's slumber: you both want to read but whatever you are reading right now just isn't cutting it. This was my case for the past months: while I absolutely loved reading The Karamazov Brothers, I barely made any progress due to it being quite a dense book and me being...
While reading this article https://kbin.social/m/france@lemmy.world/t/97300/Consulation-sur-la-direction-de-cette-communaute I observed OP said something about the community being over 1000 members, yet in the sidebar it was showing to me (in kBin) there were only 92. I double checked by going to lemmy.world and those 92 were...
Lemmy is more left leaning because the rights popularity seen on other social media are driven by bots that are not here.

Federation status: ON
Seems like the federation was turned on not long ago. It's very exciting to be part of kbin's growth!
What is your opinion on GNOME 3 and 4? Why do you like/dislike it?

I've found myself reading much, much more since Reddit killed third-party apps.
I'm actually making progress on a book that I haven't touched for months, which feels quite nice.
