Hi, I'm Leafy and I'm a recovering reddit addict.

I mean, Israel has been honest about their intentions from the beginning. It's other governments that are saying otherwise; desperately praying that their citizens have no reading or listening comprehension, so they can funnel more taxpayers' money into enriching weapon's merchants.

Judging from how brisk weapons sales have been? Not only are these governments complicit, they are delighted at the death of Palestinians.

The settler colonists have so little love for thousand year old indigenous trees the metaphor almost writes itself. They will grow imported pine trees after they're done.

A part of me suspects that it's also a lot more troublesome to apply to perform in Malaysia. The last time I checked, the organising company in Singapore just needs to have the right entertainment license and they can easily apply for a work permit for artists. Whereas Malaysia has this 39 page beauty.

And if you're holding your concert in Sabah/Sarawak you have to submit your application twice to PUSPAL and the state government. Yeah, it's not looking good for us.

These studio execs are absolutely disgusting.

Improving soil could keep world within 1.5C heating target, research suggests (www.theguardian.com)

Better farming techniques across the world could lead to storage of 31 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide a year, data shows. That amount is not far off the 32 gigatonnes gap between current planned emissions reduction globally per year and the amount of carbon that must be cut by 2030 to stay within 1.5C.

Ooh, fun fact! Did you know the It Ain't Much But It's Honest Work meme guy was a proponent of no till farming and was a leader in the movement advocating for and utilizing the farming practices suggested in this article?

Dave Brandt passed away in May this year, but his honest work? It meant so much.

According to the article, permanent alimony is granted only if the receiver agrees to give up other assets in exchange. So it's more of a trade.

I'm upvoting you purely for describing Twitter as "Live Journal with a text limit". That is exactly what it is and with infinitely less privacy or conversational value.

Oh, for that use case then Twitter is a bit different. Information on Twitter moves fast and you can get quick, bite-sized updates on a company or event (via tags) much quicker than most sites. The ease of sharing information made it very popular for things like announcing updates on website/app down times or catching up on election news for example.

I was in Ho Chi Minh a few weeks ago! It's a beautiful and exciting place.

Sources for FLAC Music

Hi! I wanted to start to hoard my favorite tracks in the best possible quality. A lot of stuff is available through Deezer or Tidal i know, but what sources are you guys using when FLACs for particular albums or songs cannot be found on Deezer or Tidal? I wanted to get the Rock n Roll Train song from ACDC in FLAC, but Tidal...

Soulseek via Nicotine+, you can filter for file type and bitrate as well as avoid those assholes who lock all their files for trading.

Poker face by Lady Gaga! Anything that lets you shamelessly yell to be honest.

I had that problem too but turns out I didn't turn on notifications in settings. Maybe tweaking that might help?

I did post to m/fountainpens precisely because it was there, so it kind of is a bit of a "build and hope they come" situation. I just wish these people would just bother to actually build the community. A welcome post. Some articles. Anything!

/kbin - a few quick announcements

Good morning! :) Today I want to focus mainly on reviewing the pull requests you've submitted. There are many great things there that will help improve the kbin experience. That's amazing, thank you! I'm also in the final stages of sorting out the infrastructure-related formalities. Soon, the situation with the website's...
