This has to have something to do with the newly discovered API exploit to rapidly create accounts without any limits, right? Instances without captcha or email verification are vulnerable still, AFAIK.
I use Microsoft Authenticator. I hadn't looked into open source options at the time when I needed one and it was the most immediately apparent alternative to the Google Authenticator on the Play Store.
To do it on Windows there's a key combo you need to press to pull up the emoji keyboard. Press the Windows key and the period key at the same time while you're typing in Windows 10 and 11. This will pull up the emoji selection.
I usually do top left instead of top right just because I tend to touch my camera lenses if I hold my phone from the top side like that and I don't want to smudge them up.
I have a though dilemma. I got a date for a wisdom teeth surgery but It's one day before a concert. Could something bad happen if I attend both? I will only drink water on the concert.
I didn't go to a concert after getting mine out, but I was up for anything the next day. I was amazed at the lack of pain, I never felt a thing from the surgery. The worst part about it was having to watch what I ate and taking care of the extraction area for a few weeks. It's different for everyone, but it might not be bad for you at all.
Edit: I had all 4 removed at once, they were impacted, and I was under anesthesia as well.
Kbin is the first Reddit alternative I looked at and i liked the UI so I stuck with it. I kind of assumed everything would be kbin. I thought I understood things. I thought it was kbin and lemmy separate but they federated and so I’d be able to access lemmy stuff from kbin. Which I guess is true. But now I’m confused. I look...
Why YSK: You might be used to Reddit where you can't edit titles. This is important both for the errant poster, but also for the person coming from ages in the future who might stumble upon it.
I don't like those bots either and make it a point to not follow them. Id say if the OP can't see the people trying to interact with the post, what's the point?
A lot of the 88,000 accounts were made in the week leading up to the blackout as well. I started looking elsewhere as soon as Lawrence announced Sync was shutting down instead of waiting for the blackout to start.
Did anybody else start out watching anime on the Nintendo 3DS YouTube app? That thing could only load video at a max 144p and you had to infer what the subtitles were saying based on the shape of the blury smear that ueed to be words.
Super interesting, I just checked and it does not. I still see a downvote count on the post from Kbin, so I think this just means that the Blahaj Zone doesn't take them into account when determining a post's position in the feed.
Lemmy's total users surged from 156k to 240k in a single day today! What caused the jump? (lemmy.world)

Authenticator App
What authenticator app do you use? How do you backup? Any open source self hosted options?
Looking for a Reddit alternative? Lemmy tell you, they currently kinda suck (www.androidauthority.com)
Yeah, this describes my experience so far. I really want to like it here, but so far it's been an effort....

Sooo... are we doing emojis here or nah 🤔
I don't care either way, but I always thought it was funny how reddit was so vehemently anti-emoji

Is Kbin lemmy? I’m so confused!

YSK that you can edit titles on Lemmy, unlike Reddit.

What would you think about bots that repost content from Reddit?
All the content, none of the Spez? Or, is it better if Lemmy stays distinct?
Just a little test from Lemmy!
Does this post show up on Kbin community?
