I urge everybody that was happy with his contribution to our community to do so since he will have to refund out of his own pocket. And yes, this was for an entire year of the app, but he did I no way know that Reddit was going to change...
My dad did his best considering he lost his dad at 14, so I don't blame him too much. But if there was something I knew I'd do one day as a dad (currently have a 4-year-old daughter) it'd be spending free time with her.
My generation isn't the best, but I knew this was a statistic we'd slam dunk.
I'm 86, but I feel you. Before he passed, my dad played with his granddaughter in a similar fashion. My theory was, he saw how involved I (and my peers) was and realized it wasn't too late.
I've been slowly removing Alexa from my life, but it seems very tough for me to nix our Echo Show in the Kitchen. It's been useful.
I went the HomeKit route instead of Google, so a HomePod with a screen is what I wish for (though I know it won't ever come). That being said, this does look pretty slick.
