I had a cat named Stitch years ago and I did a doubletake because my boy was an enormous orange longhair. These two would've looked hilarious side by side.

Thank you! I saw it recced but the mention was on a post from years ago.

It seems so easy to skip feeling anxious with booze. I always kinda want to for bigger parties. but, the Consequences :(

Fountain - by Marcel Duchamp (1917) (media.tate.org.uk)

Let’s begin with the obvious: Duchamp’s Fountain really was a urinal. Not a painting or sculpture of a urinoir – though the latter might raise interesting philosophical questions – but the real thing, a token of a particular type – there were many visually indistinguishable urinals that came off the same production...

I don't know if there's a term that can escape people misunderstanding it.

Do people who didn't originally understand how 'traditional art' was intended get 'physical art' easier? so many alternate terms imply things like a particular style or age of the work. physical is the most generic term, so that's good, but the vibes are off for me lol. I'd get over it if others found it easier to understand.

I wonder if it's part of speaking - is it just the talking process that usually happens in the brain, except without continuing to the process that makes sounds come out? But there are tons of people who don't
do the internal monologue thing, even with people who can hear and speak fine. Do they only do that part of the process immediately they speak or read? Or does it just work different for them, because of quirks of brain architecture or whatever?

Brains are fascinating.

Yeah this is similar to my experience. Some stuff gets done without that monologue, but I'm not completely without it.

I'm thinking about how much I want to write more this year. Maybe it'll be my resolution!

Is the director's cut different in an interesting way? i have the standard version on vhs and watched it a hundred times as a kid.

Are there independent groups that audit that kind of thing?

Lost my cat to cancer this week, too. They give us so much, don't they? Whenever I come home and there's no cat to trip over, it hurts.

I adore the handsome cravat Athena wore. How regal!

That assumes every human being has the same base of knowledge and people have to cater to that to tell a good joke. You can just not like it.

https://web.archive.org/web/20231117190207/https://gitlab.com/fdroid/admin/-/issues/446 here's another statement someone made. At this point, it looks like the Community Council was being (or saw itself as being) overridden. This defeated the purpose of the council, and attempts to fix this were (allegedly!) ignored, so three out of four members resigned.

Apparently, some people are more likely to have it happen because of an inherited trait. Find out from relatives if it's happened to them? You're probably okay, otherwise! There's a surgical fix if you do have that trait, too.

Inside a decorated Christmas tree. Maybe I can blame the cat for all the glass bulbs I'd break?

men are faster to marry again after divorce or spouse death, according to census reports.

in my anecdotal experience, monkey branching in relationships is a common shitty behavior. if op's gf is doing that, they're better off not trying to get back with her.

    Ignosticism (rationalwiki.org)

"Ignosticism, or igtheism is a theological position. If followed to its logical end, it concludes that the entire question about God's existence is a non-question and that taking a yes, no, or even ambivalent position is absurd. It can be summarized as "We have no clear concept of anything labeled 'God' and/or how to test a...
