Sad news today from that news conference. I did just buy this game, though. Have been wanting to try it and the Nintendo eShop has it discounted right now.
I’m having trouble with the difference between threads and microblogs/posts. I keep thinking in terms of Reddit. I know magazines would be what ‘subreddits’ are. Are threads what we see on the front page of a subreddit and but then what are posts? I read the FAQs but still confused.
Seems like a good portion of the activity in the communities is reddit oriented. If the goal is leaving/hurting reddit, it seems we should be continuing on like it doesn't exist, instead of continuing to drive interest to the site. Thoughts?
I think many of us are coming from Reddit due to the actions of that one guy in charge, so it makes sense that there would be an increase of Reddit discussions. I do think that it would be great if we could eventually just forget they ever existed 😁
@Netsettler2k the vibe is many are looking for a “Reddit alternative.” That’s actually how I came to find this place. I joined a protest group and learned about this place. I hadn’t really heard of it before so I thought I’d give it a try.
