Nintendo's first-party titles are usually very polished on release (Pokemon being a notable exception). Other than that, Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3 are two recent major titles that I didn't hear many complaints about, though I'm not sure if the latter counts since it released a couple years ago in Early Access.
I have seen a few of these with similar story lines and realized we are living it right now. They have the best healthcare, the best food, the best everything and most of us are a few dollars from disaster. That scares some of us to death literally from all the stress it causes.
No, too many variables. We only know that a Volvo PV544 isn't effective against that particular Swedish submarine. We now need to crash several different cars against several different submarines several times, for science!
GOG not having a native Linux client baffles me, like, there's this whole bunch of people who clearly care about software freedom and your store focusing on selling DRM-free games will just ignore them? Oh well. At least we have Heroic.
For this, really? Those Windows versions reached EOL a long time ago, basically no one should be even running them nowadays. If you want to run Steam then just use a supported operating system, like Windows 10 (and above) or Linux.
Spain's far-right party Vox proposed abolishing the current laws allowing abortion and euthanasia, according to its election manifesto published on Friday.
It's honestly demoralizing how easy it is to undo decades of progress. All it takes is a few short years of a far right govenment and we're back to the 20th century.
There have been reports of YouTubers I watch getting sick after eating food in third world countries. However, these countries are also home to a large number of people who do not get sick from eating the same food. I think this suggests that the locals may have developed stronger immune systems. What do you think?
Not sure what country you're talking about but as someone born and raised in a third-world country with free, universal healthcare I can tell you I'm offended.
I think most of us who moved here from Reddit are enjoying our time here on kbin.social. We've left a lot of the riff-raff behind us and made new friends with intelligent, thoughtful members of kbin, Lemmy, Mastodon, etc.....
That's fair but what if, say, the "news" instance dies/goes offine or something along these lines, isn't all the content it hosts going to be lost or become inaccessible? Not sure how the whole thing works but it's something that's been concerning me. With redundant communities across multiple instances at least the whole topic won't go down with any single instance.
Personally, I like having the news here since I'd rather not go back to Reddit. Feel free to post non-eSports related stuff here though, the more content the merrier.
I, for one, am going to miss the endless inside jokes that every subreddit has. But one of the perks of being an early adopter is that maybe I can see new ones appearing here.

When will people learn? Seriously. They keep touching fire and act equally surprised every time they get burned....
I feel like we're all stuck in a movie where all the rich people live on some kind of floating island or satellite with everything they need to live well, and all of us have zero chance of going there
