The issue for lemmy is the same as mastodon

The Mastodon.social privacy policy covers a lot of this, https://mastodon.social/privacy-policy

This is the least every lemmy site should have

It does

You can request and download an archive of your content, including your posts, media attachments, profile picture, and header image.

Mastodon does not show threads. There Is no good entry point to a community.

But yes you are visible on mastodon.

You could sub to @nostupidquestions but without threads it looks like a mess

Useless fearmongering if focussed on Lemmy only.

This could be done to any twitter, mastodon or reddit user

So after getting a an AI analysis of all your comments, them selling your data. You only worry about upvotes?
That's a small difference. This example takes a small difference and blows it up to the extreme.

Does /d/ block an instance?

I think there is a misunderstanding in the kbin community.
/d/ blocks a domain, A domain is not an instance.
But i'm not shure what /d/ blocks or not. As far as I know it's what's between the bracket's after a post ()

Call out post for a particular karma farmer on kbin.social

@pollodiabolo - this user is a karma whore of epic proportions and they have made a shit load (10-15+) accounts on kbin that boost and upvote each other while sometimes mass downvoting others that have posts trending towards the top - all to farm karma....

I have not looked into the details, but this makes a solid case for public up/downvotes, it makes fuckery public.

static,

Upvotes are public, on kbin/not lemmy.

With public upvotes bots should be detectable, I just have to write a bot to detect the bots.

He's really speedrunning twitter to death.

You fixed it and I hate it.

Yes I do have 990 rep now, but I hate karma whoring.
For the future please consider something like a relative score, maybe +4 to -1?

Karma is just virtual, don't bother unless it has a functional purpose.

Number go down is funny ;), NO I won't make a habit out of this.

Does it still sync with kbin.social?
00:35 CET / 22:35 UTC

It takes a while, no lemmy.world favorites yet.

edit: ~ 2hours, no sync yet :(

Yea that is hard, and I'm struggling too.
I decided to trust amazon.de after a few sanity checks: 300+ reviews/4+ rating/little red flags in reviews/no signs of the product-switching hack.

Locality matters, I'm originally from the Netherlands, and an all in one bike is the obvious thing to do, Diy is wierd.

Currenty living in a medium/high theft City, I don't feel comfortable going all in 1.

City traffic, moderate speed, between 2 to 20km per day.
So I went for a 500W rear hub+well reviewed battery+permanent volt meter.

The only good battery is a bunch of samsung cells I solder together myself, but that's outside my current skill level.

Are posts supposed to be exactly synced across instances?

I’m very new here but I decided to check and compare the posts in a community on lemmy.world (where I have my account) and that same community on the instance where it resides and the posts were almost all completely different! Is that how it’s supposed to work or are they supposed to be synced? Sorry if this is a noob...

It looks like it stopped syncing with kbin a few days ago.

It is in the protocol, calkey shows it too, check the yellow star.
For example : https://calckey.world/notes/9gndz248za

Any change would hurt federation with the rest of the fediverse.

Do you have a way to measure the current voltage?
The percentage is just an odd way of measuring voltage, I know a bit about batteries, nothing about ebikes.

If it's just about batteries, why limit yourself to ebike providers?

Lemmy.ml is blocking all requests from /kbin Instances

I discovered yesterday evening that Lemmy.ml is blocking all inbound ActivityPub requests from /kbin instances. Specifically, a 403 'access denied' is returned when the user agent contains "kbinBot" anywhere in the string. This has been causing a cascade of failures with federation for many server owners, flooding the message...
