Ditched reddit. Won't delete my account, so I can continue voting pro-John Oliver, but I overwrote all of my comments and posts with a message saying I was leaving. It appears some of those comments mysteriously un-edited themselves!, so I'm running my script again. As far as actually using Reddit? Fuck them.

Future LLMs will be progressively worse - and possibly change how humans write

I was thinking about this after a discussion at work about large language models (LLMs) - the initial scrape of the internet before Chat GPT become publicly usable was probably the last truly high quality scrape of human-made content any model will get. The second Chat GPT went public, the data pool became tainted with people...

That's not a joke -- that's exactly how a lot of the smaller open-source LLMs are trained. Orca (paper) is trained between GPT-4 and GPT-3.5-turbo

YouTube sent a cease and desist to TheFrenchGhosty, the project manager of Invidious.

However, he doesn't seem to care, because he doesn't see any legal merit in the letter.

Edit: also included is a script to edit text posts and delete media posts.

Note that it generally takes several seconds per each comment. For me, the script took 55m33s to finish. So be prepared to wait.

TODO: combine everything. Also it seems comments in my own posts get skipped, not sure why or how to catch them.

I like the microblogs for things that don't exactly warrant a post. The Mastodon integration is neat, but I doubt I'll really use it since I never used Mastodon before.
