OceanGate did not offer additional details about pausing its operations. Its CEO, Stockton Rush, was among the five people killed when the company's Titan submersible imploded in June.
This explains why sometimes I'll research something or study German on my days off instead of playing a video game. I thought I was "wasting" my day off and not properly relaxing. Instead, I was letting my brain off its leash to do what it wanted and that's what it picked. That task was actually relaxing for my brain at that...
Apologies if I missed one that has already been held. But I saw a member census of beehaw, which was really interesting. I'm not suggesting gathering of any personally identifying info, but more generally getting a sense of who is here on kbin.
Smoked these a few weeks ago on my pellet smoker grill. Fruit wood pellets with a handful of mesquite pellets added in. Dry rubbed with my own butt rub then lacquered with Sweet Baby Ray’s.
But now I'm lying awake, and I'm stressing so much. I'm really scared they don't like me. I'm scared it was all pretend for the sake of being polite. I think I was obnoxious at points, and I said a couple of dumb things. I'm scared they saw me as attention seeking, like I was trying to be the most important person in the room....
I struggle with this as well. I try to remember that I should offer myself the same compassion I have for others. Chances are you weren't thinking that they were dumb or attention-seeking, and they weren't thinking that about you. I think it is so awesome that you were able to visit with them!
I know memory is fairly cheap but e.g. there are millions of new videos on youtube everyday, each probably few hundred MBs to few GBs. It all has to take enormous amount of space. Not to mention backups.
…but I don’t want to get rid of it! Been using RIF since 2011 and it’d feel so weird to take it off my home screen. I tried the Reddit app but it pollutes the front page with so much unnecessary shit that it becomes a chore to browse. Liking the look of Lemmy so far though.

I've seen a lot of them on TikTok, which makes me think on Reddit you'd probably get bullied for posting them :(
Glad we have a much kinder community here!

Somehow, TikTok is sending me notifications even though I don't have the app. And in order to disable them I have to install it. (mander.xyz)

Reddit hated emojis, how does Kbin feel?
Seemed like emojis in posts / comments would get downvoted to oblivion on Reddit. I don’t see the same thing on Kbin (or other instances / services).

If you were given a choice between a fancy boat or a fancy car, which would you pick? You can't sell either.
