I started out on lemmy.world but I tried kbin and I like it’s UI way more. When I realized I could just follow all of those communities on kbin I was sold!
What is a "reputation point"? It seems to work differently than other forums I've seen in that it only counts downvotes, is that how it worked on Reddit? I never had an account there, apologies.
People discredit every type of protest, IRL or not. I think back to every major protest that's happened in response to some major event, and the response every time is "That won't ever work", "You're wasting your time", "Imagine caring about that"....

I never thought of how capping sign ups doesn't affect you in the fediverse... you can just sign up on a different instance! Very cool to think that server hosts can stay within their own limitations.
