Where I live we have sunlight from 5:20 to 22:00 in summer. This means going to bed while it's still light outside. We're actually in the wrong time zone though, the sun is at the highest point somewhere around 14:00 in the summer.
If you're a morning person, you don't mind rising earlier, so DST is what you'd want. I'm an evening person, and I find it terrible to wake up at 6:30 while my biological clock says it's only 5:30.
Stress, especially about money, makes you tired. So it's got nothing to do with being lazy. I just switched medication because the old ones made me tired. It adds up quickly to feel debilitating IMO.
That quote though, how condescending can you get? What's even worse, the whole article reads like this, a bunch of opinions of kids scared of the boogey man.
The Amazon recorded a 286% increase in fires in February this year, compared to the same period in 2023. The data is in the Monitoring of Active Fires of the National Institute for Space Research (Inpe) and was updated until last Sunday (25)....
How is the data for February in other years? A quick Google didn't give me this data, but I gathered that the number of fires in the wet season can vary wildly from year to year, where more fires occur in El Ninõ years.
Damn, after reading the first paragraph I really tought this was going to include masturbation by insertion of an eggplant. Now I'm a little disappointed to be honest.
A person I know used to work as a nurse in an operating room, stuff like this happens more often than you'd think. I haven't heard an eggplant mentioned by them though.
In the US it’s not crazy for kids maybe as young as 6 to make themselves sandwiches like a PB&J/Ham & Cheese either if parents have an emergency, or to take to lunch for themselves because parents didn’t have time. (Or you know, they’re neglectful)...
There's no rye bread with herring in your photo, the Danish don't eat that? The Dutch do, topped with some chopped onions. Though my kids don't like rye bread, it is getting old fashioned over here.
Sure, same with refined sugar, caffeine, condoms, weed, nitrous oxide, tobacco, vapes and processed foods. Also plastics, fossil fuels, teflon and PFAS in general. And while we're at it plastic surgery, tattoos, piercings, maybe music?
Germany’s leading Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the opposition Christian Democratic Party (CDU) have ordered high schools in Berlin’s borough of Neukolln to distribute brochures titled The Myth of Israel #1948....
The general idea is that these parties do not want to be seen as anti-semetic, especially considering the German past. Which leads to no criticism towards Israel whatsoever. It's a shame actually, because this opens the door to the AfD party, who dont have qualms about these kind of things.

A judge has dismissed a complaint from a parent and guardian of a girl, now 15, who was sexually assaulted when she was 12 years old after Snapchat recommended that she connect with convicted sex offenders....
I take it that you're not a parent. So, if Snapchat is not able to know that someone is a sex offender, how is a parent to know? All you can do as a parent is talk to your kids about the dangers of these kind of apps. Sure, you could, and maybe should, forbid usage of these apps, but at the end of the day you're not looking over your kids shoulders 24/7.
