Today I learned the #Japanese equivalent of the #English phrase 'Food Porn' is '飯テロ' or 'Meshi Tero', where the 'tero' part is a borrow word for 'terrorism'.
The literal translation is 'Food Terrorism'. Consider that in relation to the Japanese penchant for filling their #SocialMedia streams with pictures of every single thing they eat.

I bought some Black Black gum (Japanese product) from Amazon and got a package with random yellow pieces of gum included. Anyone know the difference from the original gum? For #JMusicFriday theme #OldButNew I have something that's more new-but-old-but-new. I got this earworm some time ago and couldn't place why I found it so familiar. I figured my love of hammond organ was messing with me again.
MONTHS later I was searching something unrelated and realized this song was OP1 of the the "You're Under Arrest" 1996 anime run, which I watched a bit of a long time ago. The sitcom vibe of returning to an old, friendly place was too perfect.
I have just the thing kind of in both ways one might look at the concept. Both "new to me" as is the official intent and a newer version of an old thing.
