Why am I not surprised that the new Ghostface and TwatYe track is errrr, not very good. What a shame, imagine if they had dropped this in 2010?? Ghostface's bars aren't that bad but Ye's verse is trash and the beat is unremarkable. The whole is less than sum of its parts.

Farming Simulator 22 is free on Epic Store. For reasons unknown I have added this to my Epic games library of 65 games (all free) of which I have played 5 (and only one of them for more than a couple of hours). This is on top of my Steam backlog of shame...

@jake4480 I have to make a choice between guitar or gaming and these days guitar wins every time! I so want to break through to the next level of skill / musical understanding that will make a real player (like I was on bass years ago) and not just a performing monkey that can learn songs by rote!

@jake4480 Fair play, I haven't written a song in well over 25 years. I'd like to get back into it. I haven't paid more than £20 for a game in forever. I prefer to spend quite a bit less than that too. £10-£15 is the sweet spot for me and I am prepared to wait for those AAA games to age into that bracket too, lol.

This morning I glanced at a list of albums Brooklyn Vegan posted about for 2024 records so far this year, and there's a new FOUR TET record from March I feel like I would've missed had I not seen it there-- I hadn't heard about it.

Four Tet is of course Kieran Hebden from London and is some wild, weird and beautiful electronic stuff. There's some great synth and ambient sounds (and beats!) on this one.

'Three' will most likely be among my favorite albums of 2024.

@jake4480 I once interviewed Kieran Hebden for a magazine and I am sad to say he was a knob. It was almost 20 years ago though so hopefully he is nicer now. He also have a guy I used to be mates with bass guitar lessons, wait, or was that Squarepusher? Ah fuck knows, lol. One of them anyway.

@raghnallborders I honestly don't see the point of this. He is the only practical choice for killing off the Tories. Why split the vote and risk the Tories not being massacred? Sure, I would like a more left-wing candidate but the reality is they wouldn't get in right now -- would you prefer Sunak stayed?

Today I finally got my hands on a Big Muff pedal so that I can ape the Siamese Dream sound. Hopefully it can make up for the pain of the past few days. Been offline for a bit because I'm dealing with some IRL shit. This hasn't been helped by the news that Steve Albini has died. Dude was such a legend, engineered so many of my favourite bands and he even became a better person after a lifetime of being an edgelord dickhead. Will be spinning plenty of Big Black and Shellac today, along with Pixies, Nirvana, Breeders, The Wedding Present and lots of his other amazing work

Has anyone else experienced anything similar to my #Windows11 laptop with an #NVIDIA GPU (it's a 1660 Ti) with 32GB RAM just suddenly going greyscale? It's fixed by a reboot but it happens every month or so. It's just super weird.

@jake4480 It could be that. I stripped away a lot of the Win11 UX to make it more Win10-like and now I don't mind it so much. I do also have a Win10 machine as a back-up/dodgy behaviour device (and a functioning Win8 😂 too for completeness sake) where I don't think that has ever happened...

@jake4480 I get you totally. I like new Wolfenstein single player and stuff like that with a story but running around a map over and over shooting randoms online just seems pointless to me. I love stuff like modern Fallout that’s a bit shootery but more rpg like. After seeing the tv show I’m tempted to dive back into new vegas actually…
