@black_intellect I lived in a homeless shelter with 79 other women & men for close to a year. The biggest obstacles to employment were 1) appropriate clothing 2) having an address 3) reliable transportation 4) adequate nutrition and 5) access to childcare

Residents were allowed to stay up to 2 years, rent free, as long as they had a job. Free childcare was available

$500/mo would have pd for bus pass, extra food, clothing & ability to establish savings. All things contributed to local economy

And yet nothing will change because powerful people don't want it to change.
