It’s incredible that Ako is still alive. She hatched with an open fontanelle (the skull didn’t completely fuse) which required world-first surgery by the vets at Wildbase in NZ. Read more here: https://www.massey.ac.nz/about/news/k%C4%81k%C4%81p%C5%8D-brain-surgery-a-world-first/
