ollama's becoming just an every day tool. First via the Alpaca #flatpak for chat, but also via charm.sh's mods tool, which lets you pipe commands, etc into a model. Here I'm using codestral to explain my status back to me. Neato! 😀

@Corb_The_Lesser You are right but:

  • the need to ask for the removal of flatpak to push snap into flavors, and here I'm talking about the intention, no matter they all agreed
  • the fact that some packages like chromium lies installing snap
  • the fact that the store doesn't even support other sources like flatpak, while the old one does

all of this make me think of an imposition. Tbh what I see in this matter is the desire to push snap but not having the courage to call it what it is: a choice.

Hello, Bottles are a good thing, but I have encountered a lot of errors, and I have not been able to get to the forum for several days https://forum.usebottles.com/ is simply not available. There are a lot of questions about why applications (programs) are not deleted, for example, directly in bottles, and many other things. @sonny when you do such statements, do not lock conversations, otherwise people will take that as the truth.

For instance, no one on my team has ever even thought of such a thing.

Free (and unsolicited) tip: Stop thinking that using a toolkit/framework following its guidelines means doing a UX study on your app. Each app has a specific use case, a specific target, solves specific problems, and requires a dedicated study. In addition, each product has its own brand identity, following the guidelines of a framework does not magically give you an identity.

@nah For work I use a lot of e-mails and different messaging applications, on Android (both on a mi mix 3 and Google pixel 8 pro) there are days when I do not receive any notification, other days instead I am constantly re-proposed old notifications, I have lost many important e-mails from customers for this problem. As a secondary problem instead, the whole system is visually slow, lagging, many apps constantly crash. I have tried a factory reset several times with no results. 🙃

@gnomelibre @mirkobrombin I wonder if waydroid could be a solution without getting huge battery drain, well, probably that of kind of app would just never work on waydroid due to some kind of restriction or detection 🤔

@holgerschurig @mirkobrombin @nah The only devices that I dropped badly are an iPhone and an old xiaomi, in all the Android devices I have used (xiaomi, huawei, samsung, oneplus, motorola, blackberry) the apps crash, there is lag, they constantly freezes. You had more luck than me like maybe so many others or maybe we make different use of it or I don’t know (I don’t care).

@nah @mirkobrombin i don’t think it’s related to suspension since it was not receiving notifications even while using the device. For the crashes and freezes they happen often and I have a friend on the same situation 😞

I switched from in-place info boxes to Figma comments to simplify the discussions.

We found a total of 96 potential issues/details and more are coming.
