sometimes i am blown away by the simple fact we have hot and cold running water, INSIDE the house. in four different rooms of the house. four of the seven rooms total. our ancestors must be fuming. our descendants will all be wondering “well how did you fuck THAT up?”

even in our semi off grid village microcosm of sOcIeTy, we need that society to function for these conveniences to survive long term. eventually we will run out of replacement parts for the complex power system, pumps, and lines, that bring it all together. i could jump on a pedal powered pump for a few hours a day, but only if we were producing the raw calories of food onsite. kitchen greens alone won’t cut it, i reckon

@RickiTarr ummm that was me from about age 5-8. i just thought we were supposed to produce news to share every day 🤷‍♂️ it used to get weird when i didn’t have the receipts eg no i don’t have a new bike that i claimed to ride to school today, yes that is my old bike right there. or the teacher that congratulated my mother and grandmother on the arrival of my non-existent baby sister.

after about 8-9 i understood the difference and converted that energy into creative writing 😅
