I just saw the most evil genius thing I’ve ever seen on TikTok, some girl who googled her town’s Police department’s minimum fitness requirements, and trained so she was a consistently higher standard, then when she did get into an altercation was able to easily out run them.

She is my new hero.

it wasn't but yes, I am an atheist. that website is nonsense. just because we don't yet fully understand the universe, doesn't mean there's a god behind it all. when people didn't understand anything about the sun, they assumed it was god etc.

Having spent a week on Bluesky, I am of the opinion that it's looking like it could work out well. The media and A-lister are always going to want a big open space, accessible to all. Let them monetize it creatively if they can (so long as it's not a crypto scheme). It will always be a place to "get attention," more than share ideas content. We can do that here, without all the noise from there. Win-win.

At the town hall, Trump called Kaitlan Collins a for rudely insisting that he answer a question.

But have we ever seen HIM called that to his face? I mean that's his entire persona. It's what his supporters love about him, what distinguished him from the rest of the GOP. He was willing to be a jerk. Break decorum. And now that's come to define the way a large portion of the public discusses politics. I just want a qualified comic to bring the receipts. sure but the problem is so spread out. doing the right thing, which we should still do, doesn't mean anyone will return the favor. they will rightfully claim you're being nice but those people over there are not etc... I guess what I'm proposing is to both do the right thing but also punch bullies back when you encounter them, whether they are on your side or not. and to definitely not laugh at dumb, mean shit that doesn't make any point. we encourage/ignore this downward spiral.

there is no reason to think that monarchy will ensure rule by better people than how our combination of markets and democracy and liberalism allows innovation in all areas of life.
